Very tasty Northwest Chinese food. Good place to eat lamb, cold rice noodle and soup. Better than Taste of Xi’an.
——————
Pro:
1. The lamb soup and all related soup dishes are so good. The baked donut is incredibly well-made. Smells good and tastes good;
2. The price is fair, each main soup dish ranges from $11 to $16, and that’s enough for one adult;
3. Not crowded yet, as not many people found this good place;
4. Service is good. They even offers you really decent recommendations based on true feedback or feelings if you’re open to chat.
5. Parking is really easy.
——————
Con:
1. The name is somehow distracting, making you concerned if it’s a good Chinese restaurant;
2. I wish it can come with more meat, though it’s lovely already; noodles are not that good
Really recommended!
Updated: they open for dine-in now, went here again and couldn’t be more disappointed. None of the dishes we ordered were authentic. I was especially disappointed at the cold noodles and rice noodles. I think Taste of Xi’an is much better on authenticity.
The buns aren’t as good as morning Bites but they don’t specialize in them
Since I ordered via Uber Eats, no comment on the venue itself. I was dying for some Asian food and found this restaurant to be acclaimed for their Biang Biang noodles, so off I went to get two orders (one with cumin lamb, one standard). On the Uber Eats app, I specifically ordered the “Three Items Combo Biang Biang Noodles”, one with +Cumin Lamb.
The cumin lamb was quite spicy!
The dish was more balanced than I expected between the three protein sources and also included carrot, bok choy, and onions. The noodle texture was phenomenal… But, it didn’t travel well. Due to the oil and cooling during travel, the noodles tend to stick together. Unfortunately, this means that it gets clumpy. But, I still thought the noodles had a great chewy texture and the serving size was great for the value. When we microwaved the leftovers, we were able to pull it apart a little bit.
Overall, I’d definitely go try the noodles in person. Huge fan of the cumin beef addition, would order that again.
