Let’s kick it off with the main highlight the dining area which had tables, booths, mixture of table and booth, private coves and bar seating. The decor and elegant dining pieces were amazingly done! They also have a very nice swing and photo area. Probably worth seeing and experiencing this piece with a quick drink maybe a dessert.
Ok let’s move onto the service which started alright but didn’t end well. The server took a bit to come to us but got the drinks and food going shortly after. Once the main dishes came out there was no one around, no water refills and no check-in with us until we asked another waiter.
Now to the Not-So main Event: the Food! So kicked off the meal with some Spring Rolls which turned out to be beef and cheese rolls that’s it for the filling, the flaky crust was good, but it was not a spring roll. Overall the beef and cheese and sause were ok 6.5/10. The main dishes the Mare e Monte Linguine was a very heavy sauce, chicken was not good, overall needs major improvement 5/10. Lava Plate Smash Hamburger which had some flavor but it was too much heavy ingredients, absolutely gut bomb but some can handle it 4/10. The fries with the burger tasted froze no salt, and no proper seasoning worse fry I’ve ever tasted 1/10. Overall we won’t be back unless it’s for a quick drink and a picture. Cheers diners!
We ordered the lamb shank and the sea bass, and both dishes were absolutely incredible tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The appetizers were just as delicious, each one thoughtfully prepared and full of authentic Italian taste.
What truly made the night unforgettable was the amazing surprise they prepared for my friend’s birthday. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made the celebration even more special. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated and appreciated.
The service was attentive, warm, and elegant throughout the evening. Everything from the food to the hospitality was flawless.
If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, this is it. We will definitely be coming back!
I had the mushroom risotto and the soup of the day. Other members of my party had meat dishes. It was great.
However, a few things could be better. The octopus and beef carpaccio were disappointing — too much greens and sauces that covered the actual taste. The music can only be heard near the bar; in the rest of the room it’s mostly people talking, which kills the vibe a bit. There’s only one booth, they should definitely add more. The interior in the back looks cheap, would be nice if they hired a designer to make it more elegant.
Service 3–4. We got the dessert menu only at the very end, on a dirty paper sheet — didn’t even know they had desserts! It should be offered earlier and in a better form.
Still, a good place to visit — tasty food, great drinks, and potential to become even better.
We popped in before the weekday dinner rush, and were quickly taken to our quality plush seating. A lot of thought was put into the way this place looks, and it shows. The dining floor? Looks great. The bar? A treat to look at. Even the bathrooms are top-notch. The entire place will make you want to take your camera out.
This visual appeal extends to the menu offerings as well. They go all-out on the cocktail menu, with well-crafted drinks that look and taste so good you’ll want to come back to try them all (Highly recommend the Ruby/Sapphire).
The entrees were visually attractive and tasty. We had the mushroom risotto, the lobster ravioli, and the short ribs, and none were a let-down. By the time we were done, all the plates were clean.
We finished up with some very pretty dessert, thanked and tipped our excellent waitress, snapped a few pics on the swing, and left thinking about the next time we’ll come through. Mia’s next door to some great restaurants – Uncle Dumpling, Blue Nami, Paul Martin’s – and it still manages to stand out. Definitely put this one on your radar, it’s one of the Sacramento area’s best.
