So I dined in with a friend. He told me this was the closest to Brooklyn style pizza, and I’ve had NY Pizza enough to say its not much to talk about.
The place is on the smaller side and there was just one guy operating everything. I never got his name, but he was pleasant! He introduced us to the menu, told us what he liked and what most others enjoyed. I ended up getting a meat lovers personal pizza and cheesy bread, and my friend ordered a stromboli.
The a wait time wasnt long, and then the moment came. I bit into my first slice..
THIS is Brooklyn Style Pizza?! Good God, how did I not know there was a difference between NY pizza and Brooklyn style??? On this day I found out and needless to say, it was the best northern style Pizza I’ve ever had.
The balance was great and the crust was easy to fold. It wasn’t overloaded on grease either which is a huge plus. Usually I feel like crap after I eat certain pizzas, but this didn’t do much to me at all. I can really sum it up to just good and fresh ingredients.
Mia’s is a great lunch spot, and if you’re ever passing through the East side of Indianapolis, you should definitely stop by.

Pizza is good, just hope they don’t mess up your order if you order delivery. They deliver through a third party service called Slice. As soon as the order is placed they send you a text with an approximate delivery time. A few minutes later you’ll receive another text with another (later) time. I’ve received three of these text messages and waited about an hour and a half. Don’t get me wrong, the pizza is good but this last time part of my order was missing. I called the restaurant and asked for the manager. The manager told me they don’t deliver. Excuse me?! The food I purchased on YOUR website is sitting on my counter (minus what is missing). He again says they don’t deliver. Thinking I may have called the wrong store, I double-checked and called them back. That’s when they told me they don’t deliver and the order comes from Slice. I then called Slice who then called the store. Slice told me they won’t re-deliver the missing item but if I wanted to drive 20 minutes to get it I could. The alternative was that I’ll get credited the missing item on my next order when I call the store to place a new delivery (A STORE WHO SAYS THEY DON’T DELIVER). I’m out the money and will take my business elsewhere.

Stromboli was the best I’ve ever had — generous portion of flavorful meat and cheese stuffing as well as the soft dough exterior. Served hot!
I agree that the wait time is a little long (20 min for my Stromboli), but that’s the only downside. The food was worth the wait.

Juan rolls out five star service. Helps you navigate the menu. Food is made to order, great prices, they don’t hold back in the toppings. It was delicious. Clean restrooms. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

I am a huge fan of supporting local businesses. Especially when the service is exceptional. Unfortunately the last couple of times I’ve came to this pizzeria My experience has been less than desirable. Severely underestimated wait times for minimal amounts of food is just too much for me to deal with. Two bowls of spaghetti, breadsticks and two slices of pizza was supposed to be ready in 35 minutes. Arrived 35 minutes later only to find that I was told my food would take two more minutes. 15 minutes later I got my food, but the order was incomplete. So I had to wait another seven or eight minutes for my breadsticks. I can understand if the place was busy, I could also understand if they were making the spaghetti noodles from scratch, But there was a family of three inside of the business, and it appeared that the two workers were only working on my order. I will say that the food quality is a little above average but everything else is not. I’ve tried to get this place a few chances and I’m over it. Waiting an hour for food that was supposed to be done in 35, I’ll pass, respectfully.

Excellent NY slice, clean, good amount of seating, fountain soda, and slice/breadsticks specials. Staff was super nice and welcoming. Breadsticks are good. Pizza had good flavor.

I’ve been here a few times and haven’t bothered posting before tonight. Estimated 45 minutes for 1 pizza, 1 Stromboli, and some breadsticks ($50~)- not a big deal. What is a big deal is getting to the store 50 mins after placing the order and standing for 17 minutes (I had to restart my car twice because of the cold). Be prepared for a long wait time and not having your food ready at the estimated wait time. Not recommended.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve tried the different “by the slice” I enjoy a New York-style pizza places around town. Bella Pizza has some great offerings.
Mia Pizzeria takes that to a whole new level. They use fresh ingredients, they use grande cheese, which is the top/premium cheese brand in the pizza industry. They are incredibly customer-focused, and the team there is friendly and genuinely interested in helping you find the best option for your mail.
I had a chance to talk with one of the owners and they are also vegan-friendly. They have vegan meat alternatives, and they are health-conscious for those who are choosing to eat vegan
The pricing is incredibly fair, and the food is exceptional. I encourage you, if you’re in the mood for a great slice of pizza with great customer service thrown in the Mia Pizzeria is a great place to be. This is a great local business to patronize. I will definitely be back!
