Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, rustic cooking, and friendly service.
Italian comfort food & various wines served in a warm, casual environment with a full bar & patio.

Service is impressively fast without ever feeling rushed. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch or settling in for dinner, dishes arrive promptly and perfectly prepared.
The food itself is outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From classic pastas to signature entrées, every plate reflects the quality and care that Mia Francesca is known for. It’s the kind of place where you look forward to your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal.
Overall, Mia Francesca is a must-visit for anyone craving great Italian food paired with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3.5/5)
Mia Francesca offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with attentive and professional service. The staff clearly cares about creating a pleasant dining experience, and the environment feels lively and comfortable.
The food is flavorful and nicely presented, but it’s evident that some dishes are premade for faster service. While I understand the need to keep up with the restaurant’s busy pace, this approach takes away from the freshness you’d expect at a sit-down restaurant.
The experience was enjoyable and satisfying, but not quite at the five star level. With a bit more focus on freshly prepared meals, it could easily reach that standard.
Reservations for a party of four for a Thursday night; arrived a few minutes early to a not even half busy restaurant. Our server seemed to care less, let alone make suggestions to 3 new to Francesca diners and seemed to be rushing us to order appetizers and drinks on top of dinner all at once. This within 10? Minutes of being seated.
Seemed like we were rushed upon every passing and if we were done with the dish half way though eating it. The kitchen staff that delivered the appetizers, drinks and dinners were very nice and kind. Our server Ben, not at all. It also seemed that everything was rushed to our table as soon as it was available and made it appear that the quality might have been better if allowed the time to make it. Again, not my first time at one of these establishments and the meals were not up to the usual standard that the restaurant usually has.
Even with the check going on 8 PM it seemed like yet again we were rushed with a not halfway busy restaurant with many open and available tables.
