Food was amazing and atmosphere was clean and comforting! We were looking for a hole in the wall place that wasn’t a “chain restaurant” and this fit the bill. Too bad we didn’t have this back home, because we would be regulars for sure!

me to you (M)
It has been a long time since eating here. None of the people greeted me. None were cheerful
None talked to me. They spoke Spanish amongst themselves. There were 3 booths filled when I entered about 6 pm. I never saw any more customers come in to dine. Because I am pre-diabetic I drink only water. The waitress brought a pitcher of water and put it on the table with a straw besides the pitcher. I asked for a glass. They said they have no glasses. That everyone drinks from the pitcher. I said, “That is uncouth!!” “Where is the glass?” They said they have none. I asked for a cup. She brings a styerfoam cup the size of a giant mug and pours all the water from the pitcher into the giant cup. Then she finds a lid and places the lid on the cup. I insert my straw and drink water from this giant cup. They bring out my steak burrito which is supposed to have beans, rice, and avocado. Guess what!!? The beans, rice, and avocado is not on the plate but inside the steak burrito!! A huge burrito that made!! While eating a fly lands on my other half of the burrito. I pinch off the part the fly landed on and was disgusted at the thought of eating where the fly landed with its dirty feet!! I managed to eat both halves of the huge burrito. There were 4 hot sauces to select from and all were “muy cielente”. That is “very hot”.
When I was obviously finished and ready to leave no one brought the bill to the table, so, I said, “I guess I pay up there?” I proceeded to the counter with cash and the waitress handed the bill to the cashier who never greeted me, was talking with some man, said $13.19 to me, took my money, returned the change, and I do not recall her saying, “Thank you” or anything!! Even after I said. “Hope it does not rain.” She said NOTHING!! The man repeated what I said, “Hope it does not rain.” Not one of the waitresses spoke to me, greeted me, said thanks for coming, or have a nice night, come again!! This is the worse place ever!!! How can these people be in business? They must feed family and friends only!! They must want only Spanish speaking people to come to them. No gringos allowed!!

this a small hidden gem, sometimes they have to close early because food runs out, it’s that good. They have delicious agua frescas my favorite is the melon one. I ordered bistec a la diabla (steak in red hot sauce) and oooo it was spicy but it was delicious as was the rice and beans served along side it.

We drove from Daphne to try the tacos. Coming from Southern California we miss west coast mexican food. The food was good. Plenty of cokes from Mexico. Life is good.

This is authentic Mexican food. It is not Tex-Mex. It isn’t even Americanized cheap Mexican (they don’t even have white queso dip). It is, however, really good authentic Mexican. Your meal starts with fresh chips and obviously homemade salsa. We had a burrito, a quesadilla, and a couple of tacos. Everyone loved their dish, and the burrito was big enough for leftovers. We’ll be back when we’re in the area again.

We loved it we have been in Alabama on vacation for an entire week and this is the only place that we have found with real authentic food. I got the mole and it was amazing and the tortillas were made by hand and everything we have was so filling. The portions when it comes to the aguas Frescas were huge. This place was total worth it. We will visit here every time we come here.

The food was delicious! Is a small place that can use a lot of work on its appearance, but the food is delicious! Everything tasted homemade, tortillas were freshly made and delicious! Their aguas frescas were so good!!!

This little gem is hands down the BEST Mexican food anywhere in southern Alabama. Every single entree ordered has been phenomenal. You wont find pre-made “authentic” food here. You will find freshly prepared, delectable treats for everyone’s taste buds.
This place is a bit different than some local places when it comes to service. Seat yourself and place your order. English is a second language here but that’s understandable, it’s an authentic place!
Our favorite spot to grab a great bite, consistent every single time.

If you can past the outside that looks shabby, the inside is clean, great health score, spanish lady’s making your food, and the best Mexican food I ever had!!!! The pitcher of mango juice was delicious.
