This was my last straw! I frequent this place, because I actually love their tacos (when done properly). I have experienced inconsistency to another degree. I drive from towns away, just to be disappointed most times. I have finally learned my lesson. Ordered tacos to go-soft shells were microwaved in a plastic ‘to-go’ container…chicken seems steamed in the microwave…and the few pieces of steak were dry. Not chancing it and wasting my time or money anymore!! Truly disappointing that I have to discard this meal

So, while I appreciate the generic response (which offered no resolution), I realize that my concerns aren’t as valid as the people who are “Local Guides”…Ill take my money elsewhere, and be sure to make my coworkers aware of my experience so they do not waste their time or money at this establishment moving forward either!

Delicious.. I’ve been eating here once or twice a week for over 15 years..It’s family owned and they are awesome people…For appetizers I recommend (1) queso fundido with extra tortillas(peppers and chorizo in cheese)…(2)stuffed jalapenos w shrimp/cheese.. (3)crab empanaditas with fresh cilantro..(4)a new appetizer of chicken chicharron (think the best fried chicken you’ve ever had) ..They have really excellent skirt steak(available without mole) fajitas, salmon, and chicken( love the creamy chicken ranchero)..The burritos are awesome too.. And, they have specials every week..The other day I had a tripe soup for the first time…Basically, it’s all good.. It is a BYOB and one of my favorite places to meet friends for good food and drinks… And, dining here is also affordable. They close at 10pm Tuesday-Saturday and 9pm on Sundays..closed Mondays

We ordered take out. Food was fun, filling, and delicious. We especially love chiles relieno and the mini empanaras appetizer with a sweet hot sauce. Soft tacos fresh and delicious could have had a a little more filling aa well as the qyesadilla more cheese. But overall a 10 . Now on our local food list of places to go. The man who took the order was very professional too.

Opened in March 2008, this family-run establishment has the goal of offering authentic Mexican food and is located in downtown Hackensack. As a lunch break from jury duty today, I ventured to Mi Rancho Mexican Restaurant on Main Street, just a block from the courthouse, as a first-timer. Upon entering this small, well-decorated, and clean interior, I was welcomed by the staff and promptly sat at a table. The menu is pretty standard, with a few unique choices, including combo platters, for $11. I decided on the lunch menu with two crispy meat tacos accompanied by rice and beans. To wash it down with Aqua de Jamaica (hibiscus tea), a complimentary chip and salsa began my meal. Everything was fresh, served hot, tasted good, and was authentic. The portion was generous. The service was friendly and fast. The price point was perfect, so I can recommend this place.

Best underrated Mexican restaurant around. No need for the crazy atmosphere or loud decorations. This place relies on the taste of the food. Fresh and amazing Mexican cuisine. The best steak around. There is nothing on the menu I wouldn’t recommend. The service is amazing and I do believe this is a family run restaurant. Very clean. Bring cash for discount. There’s a fee for credit card.
