If you are looking for real authentic Mexican food, look no further. Not sure what they do different here, but the food definitely stands out from other Mexican restaurants. Some dishes that I usually wouldn’t care for are quite delicious here. Staff is friendly and are on top of things. I am adding this to my list of favorite restaurants!

For alcohol or cheese and lettuce on tacos, other location is the one(cilantro and onion on tacos here, but they’ll bring cheese and lettuce) And red salsa is WARM but freshly made, not from a jar.

This is the one. If you’re going for Mexican, especially tacos, this place is heaven. Ordered 5, ate them all, ordered 3 more. They were that good. It’s very simple, as it should be, but the flavor profiles were perfect. The birria tacos are to die for. This will be a regular spot whenever I visit Owensboro.

Our first time at that location. Its alot different than the other location. It more traditional Mexican food. It was really good though. Although i do like the other location better just because of the atmosphere and the menu choice is more to my personal taste. I had the steak tacos and i must say they was very good and i will order them again upon my next visit. Well worth a try if u enjoy Mexican food.

*(Update)* I have not been here in a while. Been checking out other Mexican taqueria/restaurants. I stopped in today for lunch and got a taco salad and Dr Pepper. I am never disappointed with the flavor or portion size here. The taco salad wasn’t huge or small about a medium sized salad perfect for a lunch on the run. This is a taqueria (taco shop), a neighborhood spot for a quick bite. I was charged $16.00+ (not including tip) for this lunch. I was shocked! It doesn’t cost this much at El Bracero, or Papa Grande! I did not expect this. Had I been looking to spend this kind of money, I would have gone to a nice restaurant. I like this taqueria, the family that owns it are kind friendly folks, but I cannot pay these prices at a neighborhood taco shop.

Traditional Mexican food made in house by a real Mexican mom. Small family owned business frequented by Central and South American customers. It is REAL, traditional food, so don’t expect chips & salsa or Margaritas (or any alcohol). We eat in or order carry out once a week!

I love it here, everything is so delicious, try the burritos, they’re huge! The carne asada torta is amazing, and the red sauce burns your lips off, it’s GREAT!
