We’ve been loyal customers of the Rutherfordton location for years. Their takeout customer service is lousy. The people taking the orders are unpleasant, unfriendly and unappreciative, and they and/or the cooks are incompetent.
Our takeout orders were screwed up numerous times…forgetting to put in the bag simple things like tortilla chips, sauces, sour cream, guacamole; giving us lunch size portions when we ordered and paid for dinner size portions; forgetting to put chicken on a chicken dish, etc., etc.
When we would notify them of their screwups, they would never even apologize or try to make it right for us the next time… by either giving us an extra bag of chips the next time, or a complementary dish as compensation for the one they screwed up the first time. You would think that that would be the least a good businessperson would do for loyal customers that have given them lots of business over the years.
Their attitude stinks and their willingness to satisfy their customers (especially when they are the ones who screwed up an order) is even worse so we will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Went today and ordered a large cheese dip and order of sour cream to go with my salsa. Best $12 I’ve spent in a long time. Didn’t seem too crowed. They had a nice outdoor seating area that’s covered. Seemed like a nice place to have lunch or dinner. My only issue was that the staff seemed a little frazzled as it took 4 people to handle a phone call order that came in after i was waiting to pay and I had to wait while my food sat behind them for over 10 mintues. Other than that, it was a nice place.

Ample parking, ample seating, however if you come on a Sunday for lunch you’ll probably have to wait.
Decent prices and a huge selection, and everything is delicious. I always get the “lunch favorita”.
Service is great, and they have a salsa bar with delicious selections. One of my main go-to’s in Rutherfordton.

Wow from the moment we drove up! What a great place for the family to visit. Bigger selection than a typical Mexican restaurant and a really cool salsa bar. This was also one of the cleanest Mexican restaurants I have ever been in and the bathrooms were wheelchair accessible. The food came out fast and was all perfectly cooked.
Can’t say enough about this place. We will make this a stop on our trip to the mountains.

OK food but they wouldnt sub avocado for the meat. The build your own bowl dish was around $15 with any choice of meat- I explained that I have high cholesterol and would appreciate avocado instead of beef, chicken, pork, shrimp etc.. I spoke with the manager and he insisted that I pay $1.50 for the avocado.. I didnt pay the extra and I wont be dining there again. Resturants should cater to vegetarians!
