Very delicious! The sweet plantains and chicharron appetizer are my favorite items to get. The beef empanada was probably my favorite flavor, although we had a sampling of them all and they are all delicious. The steak on the regular la bandeja paisa plate was very tender and flavorful. I do wish a second egg came with the regular plate since one egg comes with the medium plate, but it all was very tasty. The dessert was tart and fresh and not too sweet, but I’d want to try something else during my next visit.

Great experience every time we go! From greeting to service in table it’s really nice to visit mi pueblito when in Houston. Yesterday our server was Eduardo and he was amazing from recommending us some food to being friendly and going above and beyond. We love it thank you

We wanted to try something different and doing a search, this Mi Pueblito showed up. There’s not a lot of variety when it comes to Hispanic foods where we live so we drove far to meet friends for lunch. We went today (Saturday) at 1:40pm and were sat down immediately. We got Jesus as our server and he offered us fruit juices and empanadas (way to upsell ). We ordered the bandeja paisa, hígado encebollado and arroz con camarones. The servings were huge so it was worth the price. Plates have optional side dishes you can choose from. I like sweet plantains but these were a bit meh. But I know how to make them so I’m a bit picky about that. The beef liver was very good, as well as the lentils. My husband and friend had the arroz con camarones and thought it was tasty and really liked the patacones (green plantains). Our other friend had the bandeja paisa and he really liked the chicharrones. Service was great and Jesus was on top of everything, very attentive for drink refills. He was also quite funny and we were considering helping him with his side hustle (pillow sales) after he offered because we felt we needed a nap after all the good food we ate (inside joke with Jesus ). Even though it’s about an hour drive, we will certainly be back to try more dishes.

Love coming here for a quick Colombia bite to eat and some cafe. The service here is great. They’re all attentive, extremely nice and on point. I love the bakery items they have available and really enjoy breakfast/lunch here.

Today has me scratching my head. We’ve been customers for years, and I’ve always loved coming here for the food, it’s always been high quality. When possible we have always asked for Jesus as waiter, and he’s the best.
Unfortunately he wasn’t in yet today and had the most horrible experience with Margareth P as waitress. Ask for any other wait staff, but avoid this one.
We ordered the Mi Pueblito breakfast and have never had issues. Today someone in the kitchen had the “brilliant” idea that the cheese had to be heated up with the plate. Mine came out totally melted, my wife’s appeared to be fine.
I asked for her to replace my cheese with one not heated. After trying to insist that’s how they do it she finally changed it out begrudgingly. Then when we tried the other cheese that appeared okay, but it too had been heated, just not melted.
I asked for a replacement for that slice as well, but she said she couldn’t because we had taken a bite out of it. The bite was what revealed it was ruined. We asked to see the manager who never came.
She finally brought a fresh unheated piece of cheese to replace the ruined one. I’ll probably be back as a longtime customer and this our first real quality and service issues, but I’ll be sure I never get this waitress again.
What should have been a enjoyable experience was turned into a really bad experience.
Pics included to show the melted cheese and a comparison of the good cheese and the ruined heated cheese.

Really good food and unique dining experience. Love that Houston is so diverse with International cuisine options. Dining in felt like I had transported to a restaurant in Colombia, so the ambiance really felt authentic. I sometimes crave yucca frita and plantains, and I believe I found the place for my quick cravings. The portion sizes of the meals will not leave you hungry! I was also able to ask for no sugar in my fresh fruit drink. The restaurant also has a bakery, which includes a variety of individual desserts or cakes for purchase. Outstanding server with quick service as well.

The quintessential Colombian restaurant! Has everything and then some. Food. Is. Perfect. Doesn’t matter what you order, will come out hot, fresh, and delicious. Did I mention the live music on the weekends? Go! You’ll love it.

If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Colombian food, then this is the place! The service was excellent and quick, and the food came out hot and fresh. While the menu is huge, these were some favorites: Limonada de Coco, Empanadas, Arepa de Choclo con Queso, Bandeja Paisa plate, and the Arroz con Pollo plate. You won’t be disappointed!

I got the Oxtail stew, Chicarons to eat. Incredible, super flavorful. Got hot chocolate to start and it’s delicious and drank a coconut lemonade. Got a coffee flan to go. The best dinner I’ve had in a long, long time. For sure top 10 meal ever! And incredible prices

This restaurant has always been our go-to spot for family dinners, especially on nights when I don’t feel like cooking. It offers a great combination of a bakery, a bar, and, of course, delicious food.
One of my absolute favorites is the seafood rice plate (the dry version—I can never remember the exact name). I’ve been enjoying it for years, even during my second pregnancy, and it never disappoints! The flavors are rich and satisfying, making it a dish I always look forward to.
The variety on the menu ensures there’s something for everyone, and the quality remains consistently good. Whether we’re stopping by for a quick bite, a relaxing family meal, or just grabbing something from the bakery, this place continues to be a reliable favorite.
