Absolutely delicious! I had the birria tacos and the chicken with garlic sauce both were incredible! The rice was perfectly cooked, and the guacamole with chips was so fresh and flavorful. The horchata was also amazing sweet, creamy, and refreshing. Everything tasted authentic and made with love. Highly recommend Mi Pueblito if you’re craving real Mexican food! ✨highly recommend it!

My son and I frequent both this location and the North Arlington. Been going for years and they always take good care of us. The variety is great and the food always is delicious. We enjoy the ambience and the staff is helpful.

No. No. No. The chicken fajita had pressed chicken, watery and soggy onion and peppers. The steak fajita watery and soggy onion and green peppers no red peppers…not that it would have made a difference! The “refried beans were guess what they are? Watery!..Watery refried beans??? Why? The guacamole is bland…the tortillas are nasty….NEVER again. My dog refused to eat the chicken…he usually eats anything.

The other day I ordered Mi Pueblito for lunch. I ordered their Marinated Pork Burrito w/ Red Beans for the side. The burrito came with chips and guacamole, salsa verde, salsa roja, and sour cream. The portion size for the burrito was extremely impressive. My only issue was that the pork that was inside of the burrito did not have any flavor at all and the texture was a little on the stiff side. I absolutely loved their guac n chips though! Both of the salsa’s were pretty good as well too. As an avid Spanish food lover, I was absolutely disappointed in the Red Beans. They lacked any personality and were more soupy than bean-filled. Maybe the black beans would be better? I would love to try this place again, hopefully their other menu items can make up for this particular order.

The only complaint I have is their guacamole lacking flavor.
It is more of a pickup place than a dine-in. There are very few restaurants in Kearny/Harrison area that serve good food and this is one of them.

Very close to authentic Mexican food. Family run businesses always deliver on point. If you like authentic Mexican food try this restuarant for sure in Newark. The only problem being family run business is that the service is not that great hence one star taken out. But for me service is not a big thing when going to a family run business. Be mindful of their small space so dont go there in big group.

I stumbled upon this place after googling best Mexican food in the area and after reading the reviews I had to go and try! The reviews definitely held up to the hype, the food tasted really fresh, and the portion for the price you paid was amazing. I got the chicken quesadilla and they easily added the peppers and onions to my order as requested. My fiance and I were both able to eat off of this one dish and become full. I will definitely be back to try more dishes from this place, I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for good and authentic Mexican food.
