Nice ambience setting. Reminds me of an upscale New York type vibe inside. Usually crowded on weekends. Reservations help minimize wait time on most nights. Has an upscale bar and restaurant atmosphere. The best and freshest pasta dishes with delicious oven baked pizza.

It was our first time here and we were delighted by everything we ordered!
The 10 layer lasagna was sooo soft and flavorful!! The staff made us feel welcome and the waiter provided amazing service.
Definitely would recommend this place for a night out in old town Pasadena, especially if you love pasta. Make sure you leave space for the tiramisu!

This place lives up to its reputation as an “institution” for solid Italian classics and contemporary dishes since it opened the last century and the new chef, Isiah Peña is up to the task. The bakery in the basement has always stood in its own higher league and the owners imported a baker from Greece to make sure. Chef Peńa’s special little notes like pickled pear and cucumber mignonette with oysters, and flamed or dry-iced presentations are dramatic and memorable. Peña’s easy-going, affable nature belie his talent, flair and capability in the kitchen — and his good vibes carry across the staff — we learned one day that our server was retired and still came in to take shifts because he loved the place!

Great experience- what stood out the most was service. We sat in the lounge area, and our server was really attentive, patient, and present throughout. The burrata appetizer dish was really good and so was the Pizza. I’m not an expert in Italian food so can’t judge the bolognese

Delicious pasta..really enjoyed pollo lasagna, calamari, spaghetti and meatballs, and pizza. Ambience is nice and service is great. Little pricey but you come here to enjoy fresh pasta! Dessert was good but skip apple pie, some odd herb thrown in and it just threw off the whole taste but great chocolate cakes. Enjoyed our midnight fantasy and velvet panache. Also recommend making a reservation, gets pretty packed and lounge may get crowded.

Came in Saturday night with my date and we had a Reservation but ended up sitting at the bar. The vibe in the whole restaurant is great. Evn the bar seats are cozy. Inside the restaurant every table was full, and the ambience was just right.. I ordered the margarita pizza a chicken fettuccine pasta and a Caesar salad. All three items were fantastic. The pizza was delicious fresh and the pasta was very good. The salad was crisp and refreshing with the most incredible croutons! This was my second time here and both times I enjoyed my meal. The owner is always walking around making sure everything is just right, and you can tell because this place is top-notch I highly recommend.

Located on the north side of Colorado Blvd in Old Town Pasadena.
Went for lunch on a Friday, restaurant was maybe half full but it was too loud for me. Service felt a bit slow. I tried the lobster chowder and the pastrami sandwich. I was not a fan of the chowder, but the pastrami made up for it.
There’s a paid parking structure nearby and paid street parking.
I’d like to try other things on their menu, but the atmosphere isn’t for me.

We tried a variety of entrees and every single one was impressive. Each dish was flavorful and satisfying, making it hard to pick a favorite. The food arrived quickly and the overall experience was excellent.

The Caprese Burrata was a refreshing appetizer, I enjoyed the ratio of tomato to burrata. The Fettucine Alfredo Tartufo was so delicious, 9/10! The wider pasta noodles paired really well with the cream sauce, which was flavorful and not too heavy like other versions of this dish. But the portion size was a bit smaller than expected. Perfect for one person, but if you want to share dishes or are hella hungry, I’d recommend ordering two. The Farfalle Salmone Vodka was also very tasty. The smoked salmon was very salty, but if you eat it in small bites with pasta, the flavors balance out well. Solid 8/10!
The open kitchen adds to the ambiance, but the restauraunt itself was quite dim. I think an addition of candles or mini centerpieces would really enhance the atmosphere.
Although the service was a bit slow and difficult to get attention, the restauraunt was so busy and we didn’t mind too much. Shoutout to the one chef who went around asking how everyone’s dinner was. Gave him a fistbump and he kindly gave us a tiramisu on the house. Which was bomb!!! Perfectly balanced flavors and sweetness. Would come back just for that dessert.
Overall, would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving some authentic italian.

Food is good. The bread was our favorite with the escargot. I had the shrimp scampi. The menu said it came with 4 shrimp, I only got 3. Service was not that good. We had to wait a long time for the waiter to come back to us regarding our check or dessert. We felt it was overpriced for what you get. We wouldn’t go back. There’s no parking. It’s on a very busy street.
