It was late in the day and the parking lot was nearly empty, but we’re so glad we gave it a shot! This is our new go-to stop for Mexican food in San Marcos. We had two kinds of enchiladas, beef fajitas, bean and cheese tacos, and hash browns. Everyone loved what they got and would eat it again. To note: the chicken enchildas were filled with very well seasoned meat – it was not plain shredded chicken like some places give you. The chips and salsa was good (it’s a chunky style) and they’ll refill it if you eat it down. The waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. I can’t comment on service if it would have been busy, but our experience was as good as we could have hoped for and we’ll be back! (Bring a jacket – they keep it cold in there!)

We came on thanksgiving and they were so sweet to us, our waitress was super sweet to our daughter as well. We got our food so fast and it was super cheap, hot, and delicious. The green salsa was just the right amount of spice for us and they brought us the whole bottle instead of just a little cup, like they knew us lol. Totally recommend!!!

Food overall was okay, it was my first time visiting and it was a factor of small things that added up and led to an underwhelming experience. Order was placed online, an order of queso doesn’t come with chips, however there was no option to order them online. I ordered an hour ahead for a scheduled time, I arrived 10 minutes later than my scheduled time to ensure all was ready, there was one table when I arrived and I still had to wait for my order to be started. Food was okay, there is definitely other places i’d revisit instead when it comes to taste.

So my very first time I went to this restaurant it was awesome like a grand opening type of day the food was awesome the service was great. Even the atmosphere was superb, but today when I went I was so disappointed with everything. Although the food was good I was highly disappointed with the service. I ordered a chicken fried steak meal n as always I always ask for extra gravy. Not only were there not utensils at the table, but she got my order wrong. The meal already comes with gravy n remember I asked for extra gravy. My chicken fried steak sis not have gravy on it, so I had to deal with just the gravy in the little bowl she brought. The tables were dirty n it took a minute for someone to clean them up. I had already told my niece that this was my second place restaurant, but now I really don’t know. I can understand the places get busy n stuff, but that wasn’t the case here. I’m totally disturbed by the performance of the waiter as well. Not that anyone cares, but I don’t think I wanna go back.

This was my first and last time to visit this establishment. I was so excited to try something new and was highly disappointed. We ordered two plates and some side tacos. The pastor tacos were not fresh or homemade tortillas. When I was served my tacos the pork was burnt and over cooked. The tortilla was hard a rock and crispy. I was hesitant to try the pastor since every place does it different. The food was not the best and was highly disappointed for a first impression. The service we got was not service at all. We placed our order and after that never saw our waitress again. We were never offered drink refills, chip refills, or salsa. Hopefully being a newly opened business they change a few things to bring back returning customers.

This is the fourth restaurant in San Marcos I have tried breakfast tacos and a Mexican coke. Mi Patron has the best tacos and prices. Instead of cooking everything separately and dumping it on a tortilla, everything is combined and cooked together deliciously. Very clean, great servers.
