Opening day, and we happened to pass by and see the lights and cars in the parking lot.
We stopped in and was seated quickly. Our waitress came by and took our drink order first thing along with a bowl of chips and salsa.
We ordered: my daughter home for a visit ordered the Chicken happy plate, the wife a steak chimichanga while I opted for the interesting sounding burrito Texcano.
The place was busy, the kitchen staff probably just learning their routines. A manager came by to ask us how things went: everyone was friendly and accommodating.
The wait for the food was a bit longer than usual, but like I said, brand new restaurant on opening day. It was not an extreme wait and we visited with our daughter.
Food came out and it was great: everything was tasty, warm, and prepared and presented nicely.
It was hard to believe this building used to be Southern Soul and Sonny’s Pizza before that. The entire interior was redone – the kitchen space was cut to provide more seating, and an addition was built. The place looked nice and showed the care and work put into it by the owners. I wish them nothing but success with their new restaurant.

Okish place. Good burrito, sadly the service wasnt up to par with that though. Server very softspoken, had to ask to repeat multiple times, disappeared after food and finally brought checks. We waited at the table a while more and figured out we pay at the front.
Overall service, including chips restock was just slow. Had an issue with one order, server did nothing to try to remedy it. It wasnt what was intended to order for sure (frozen/cold carrots and broccoli? Huh?)
But hey, decent buritto 🙂 and not much choices in area.

Very generous portions. I ordered the Happy Plate with Steak. I’m pretty sure the steak was the precooked fajita steak you can buy frozen in a bag due to the meat being really dry. I will definitely give them another try.

I never rate somewhere before going there more than once, and I have to say that those two experiences were complete opposites. The first time the waiter was kind, the food was amazing, and we got our food quickly despite the restaurant being just about full. The second time, the waiter was rude and rolled her eyes at my grandpa when he asked her a question, the food was stale and was in much smaller portions, and it too at least forty minutes before we were brought out food when there was only one other table being seated. I can confidently say that I will most likely not be returning.

We were the only ones In the resturant, the atmosphere wasn’t grandiose like most Hispanic restaurants. The food however was great. The only music was being played in the kitchen.

Great little mexican restaurant. I love the tacos and all the meat options. Chips are good. Salsa is tasty. Try the California Burrito with pastor meat.
