We had lunch at Mi Padres Mexican Grille on Bluebonnet Drive. We were very pleased with our experience. The atmosphere is nice, very casual with a real Mexican flair. Our food was very good, a step above many local Tex/Mex restaurants. My fajitas were served sizzling hot and delicious. Our server was friendly and very attentive.

I’ve gone here a few times over the last couple of years and I’ve always been impressed. Everything I got has always been fresh and as ordered the restaurants very clean and the service is great.
– The food was good as I said above very good portion size and the price was good, considering all of that
– The service was great the hostess and the waitress were very nice and a really good touch. Is the owner actively walks around and make sure everything is OK. I met him today and he seems to be like a really good guy.
– The atmosphere is probably what impressed me the most. I’ve been here for dinner and for lunch for dinner. It’s a very lively atmosphere not too loud, but lively and an entertaining place to be and for lunch. It’s quaint in a good place to go have a business meeting.

Best Mexican food around. Kind, swift service! Staff just wonderful!! We had a Taco salad with steak and chicken and the shrimp quesadillas were impeccable!! The sweet tea was perfection!! Can’t wait to return!!

Chicken quesdilla was okay. It had a charred burnt taste (chicken was grilled) but it gave it a very salty taste. The guac was underwhelming. The salsa was boring. Bean dip was okay.
Overall; poor quality food, high priced though as all restaurants are in this area. It was disappointing. Would not recommend unless you like bland, boring tex mex.

I don’t see the hype. We wanted some good “authentic” mexican. Both of our meals the beef tasted like plain hamburger. No seasoning or flavor whatsoever. It was sub par food. Never had American ground beef like that at a Mexican restaurant that had 0 seasoning whatsoever. Took my son here for his birthday, and he told two people not just the waiter it was his birthday. Not a single happy birthday, no one sang a song to him. Not shit. Super let down about this place cause judging by the reviews it was represented otherwise. I’ve had good Mexican and this wasn’t it. Not even close.

I went here because of the reviews. I wasn’t going to leave a review, out of grace. My waitress was nice, the chips were good and the salsa as well but my entree was not. The tacos were not acceptable. I still was going to let it go, but restaurants have to stop cutting corners because I did not digest this food well at all. I’m not sure if it was the oils, but i would bet it was old food and also how it was stored. It’s real simple to make safe, clean and fresh food..

I had the quesdilla and the food was great. What truly made it an experience worth giving five stars was because of my server Myrna. She was exceptional and tended to our needs in a way that made us feel truly special and cared for. I would definitely eat here again and I recommend you all to try it as well!

I ordered a catering meal for our staff at Woman’s Hospital to celebrate CRNA & Anesthesiologists week luncheon. The experience was perfect from the beginning of the ordering process all the way through to the end. The manager even followed up with a personal message making sure everyone was satisfied and the food came out just how we wanted. Their promptness, efficiency, superior customer service and not to forget delicious top notch quality of the food are a force to be reckoned with!! We will definitely be using Mi Padres catering again, and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to cater their event
