The food and margarita were great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was too, overall definitely recommend.
We went for our anniversary, lunch on a Saturday, so figured it would be rather busy. While it was slightly busy, we didn’t have to wait long, and the host greeted us right away so I felt welcome as soon as we stepped in.
The chips and salsa were amazing. My husband said the salsa was saucy but had enough chunks in it to be able to scoop if you wanted, with lots of flavor. It wasn’t super spicy but had a nice kick. The chips themselves came out hot every time, and tasted like they were fried in beef tallow rather than peanut oil or normal oil (kind of like the old McDonald’s fries), very flavorful.
The margarita was perfect. You could definitely taste the tequila, but it wasn’t overdone. The sugar rim made for a nice touch, sweet against the slight tang of the tequila.
We ordered two different steak type dishes. He ordered al pastor and I had tacos with steak/onions/pineapple. They let me switch my side to fries as I’m a stereotype.
Both meals were flavorful, tender, and quite tasty. The only leftovers we took home were the fries and a fresh batch of chips.
The servers were wonderful. Very attentive without being in your face. My only minor complaint is that inside is rather tight. So if you’re one that needs a lot of room at a table or you have a large party, plan to sit outside, have it delivered, or maybe reconsider. Or I think the other room there had a little more space.
Overall though it was a nice experience and we would definitely go back with or without the kids.

I haven’t been to MiMamacita’s in a very, very long time, and WOW was I surprised with the changes they have made!! It is now a bustling little eatery and bar, and quite the “in” place to be!! The food was just as delicious as I remembered, and they’ve even added a few new menu items. For dessert, we got the little cheesecake chimichangas, which were absolutely amazing, covered in a delightful blueberry sauce with whole blueberries on top. What a wonderful addition that was!! Our server, Michelle, was always near enough when we needed her, yet she didn’t hover over us. She was very pleasant and helpful, and we would ask for her to be our server again when we return.

This was our go to after band practice for some great food!! The service was always fast too!! The place is an old house transformed into a cool restaurant. Street Tacos, the Guacamole always on point!! Don’t sleep on the Bierra tacos damn those were good!!

The service was beyond super. My waitress was Stella and her crew was Kaylen and J. These ladies offered supreme academy award service. Then our food was hot, well cooked & prepared and most definitely well presented. If you looking for a place to eat please go to Mamacita’s in Mandeville.

Stella, Kaylen and I think her name was Jada. I was calling her ‘J’. On today 2/18/26 for lunch these ladies offered supreme service. From the time my family and I walked in we knew we were truly welcomed. No fake smiles for compliance but genuine I am excited to be helping you. Stella was the server and she helped with suggestions and even took time to help my daughter n law who had never had Mexican before. It’s was like tag you are it. Any questions we had the other ladies were there with no complaints or let me get your waitress. Now the food was hot, steaming and well prepared. I wish I had more time to express that if you are out in Mandeville looking for a place to eat go check these ladies out at Mamacita’s Mexican Restaurant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went for taco teusday. They are $2. We where the only ones there. The tacos where filled good. But they had no season or taste to the meat. We had all the flavors. Chicken, ground beef and pulled pork. Beer seemed pricey to me also.

Last night was my 3rd or 4th time here! Service was great. The music added to the ambience of the place. The people working there had a smile on their face. The food, like always, was amazing as well. If you are looking for a place with good food and good people to lift your spirits, you’ve found the right place. I had a long, stressful day at work so it was nice to unwind and dine at one of my favorite local restaurants ❤️
