The first couple of times visiting here I just drank. I ordered the pina colada and it tasted very good but it was $11 if I remember correctly. So the mixed drinks and cocktails are little pricey. Just keep that in mind.
With that said, the food is a bit pricey also, specifically their seafood. If you go during lunchtime, their regular non-seafood dishes are priced reasonably. Also, their happy hour beer prices aren’t too expensive either.
While the seafood here is quite expensive, the quality is pretty good. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla, as it was one of the most affordable seafood items in the menu. The cheese wasn’t that good but the shrimp was excellent. I did get the squid the last time I was here and I can honestly say that it wasn’t that good and the portion was very small for the price.
As for their regular dishes (non-seafood), they’re okay. Their cheese isn’t that good though. It kind of reminds me of cheese wiz.
I do like the variety of sauces that they have. When we first started going, they would give us complimentary ceviche. The last time we were in though, they did not. They said we could order it as an appetizer. I don’t know if that was a promotional thing or what. Either way, it was appreciated and it was pretty good.
The atmosphere is pretty cool in here also, as before mentioned. The walls and ceiling are painted blue and there are paintings of fish. It feels like you are under the sea.
Overall, this place is decent. It’s quite pricey for their seafood dishes but it is high quality. There regular dishes are okay. It’s probably best to go during happy hour if you plan to drink. The decor of this place is quite vibrant also.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: This was our first time visiting Mi Lindo San Blas. Upon entering, you’re greeted by lovely murals all over the walls. The space is fairly small but inviting. We were seated promptly, and the waitress immediately took our drink order. We ordered a Long Island and a Michelada, which were a bit pricey ($9.99) but delicious.
For appetizer, we got the shrimp seviche. It was very fresh and delicious… finally, I have a go-to for my seviche cravings! For the main course, my partner got a beef burrito, and I got a whole red snapper Nayarit style. The burrito was very good, but that snapper stole the show! The skin was crispy, but the meat was flakey and tender. Nayarit style sauce added a lot of flavor and just a hint of heat… very tasty. The freshness of the food was apparent, and I hope this never changes.
All in all, a great experience. The food and the ambiance actually reminded me of being back in Mexico.
