Updated Review – 4/4/25: We went with some friends of ours to dinner at Mi Jacalito. Everything was delicious. The service was fast, friendly, and fast. I love their guacamole!!! They also have the best tostadas in town! The restaurant is fun and super clean. We love going there! We will be going back again for sure!

Ive been eating here at this fine establishment for many years.The service here is very fast and friendly.At this restaurant they actually seem happy to serve you. They always greet you with great hospitality.Great food with authentic flavor.This place also has a nice large area for sitting and dining in.I always enjoy stopping in this taco place because the food always exactly what I expect great.I look forward to making more trips here.

The food was excellent, great quality and perfectly portioned, not too little but just enough to satisfy. I always appreciate generous servings, and they delivered. I asked for extra cheese, and they went above and beyond, adding it to my rice and beans, which I loved. Nothing felt skimpy; every bite was exactly what I hoped for. I just hope they maintain this level of quality, because I will definitely be coming back.

I came here for lunch today, and I have to start by saying that the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. I have no idea why several of the women were staring, whispering, and laughing — I would genuinely like to know what was so funny.
We were ignored for quite a while before anyone even acknowledged that we were there. Throughout our meal, we had to repeatedly flag down our waitress for basic things like silverware, drink refills, and to-go boxes. There’s no reason guests should have to chase down staff while they sit around on their phones.
What made it worse was the clear difference in how customers were treated. It seemed like Hispanic patrons were treated with warmth and attention, while others — including us — were dismissed and ignored. With so many great Mexican restaurants in the area, you’d think this one would value its customers instead of pushing them away.
As for the food, the fajitas were disappointing. Whatever sauce was used tasted more like soy or teriyaki — way too salty and completely off from what fajitas should be.
Overall, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I won’t be returning.

We went for an early breakfast and were the only ones there for a bit. This was my first time dining it. Super cozy!
We had chips, salsa and soup to start. I had an horchata. It was a little watery. I ordered the huevos a la mexicana and added bistec. The food was seasoned just right and cooked well. My only complaint would be that the thin bistec was a bit overcooked.
8/7- I ordered esquites (corn in a cup) and I realized there was mold in it after I’d mixed and eaten some. I was so sad! The rest of our food was good though

I just came in today and WOW! Delicious food! I had the enchiladas with Molè, Holy moly!
They have MOLÈ which is so hard to find authentic and delicious! I haven’t had a phenomenal Molè in 20 years!

Good service. Ok chicken taco, a little on the bland side as the chicken lacked flavor or seasoning. I had a bean tostada and just loved the crispness of the shell. The green salsa is delicious and added a lot to my taco and tostada. I was a little turned off by the $2 extra they charge for more chips n salsa. I’m so used to this being bottomless at most Mexican restaurants.

Simple menu. Hot food. Clean restaurant. Super clean bathroom.
They need to work on their salsas a bit. But the food was piping hot, and delicious.
