I don’t know about you, but I enjoy a taste of culture included with my taste for the food.
Upfront, I’ve never been to Mexico, but after one of the owners stopped by our table to ask how we were enjoying our meal, he also shared some of his story. Everything fell into place then. The paintings on the wall, the flavor of the food, the arrangement of the booths, every detail of the restaurant brought to life the experience of what it might be like if I were to visit one of the small towns in a country with such an epic history and traditions.
Great service. Delicious food. Nice atmosphere. (Only thing, the sound of the televisions may compete with the sound of a larger party…can get a little too, noisy)
But, go for the food, enjoy the atmosphere, and come back to try something else on the menu.

Stopped in for an early dinner on Valentine’s Day. It was not crowded so we were seated right away. Everything we tried was delicious. I had the chicken enchiladas verde and it was the best grilled chicken I’ve ever had a Mexican restaurant. Their chips and salads were really good too. If we are in the area again, I would definitely go back.

Another 1st time try restaurant, it was Delicious! Their Chicken taste Awesome, the service was top notch. The staff was excellent, and they checked on us the whole time. If your in the area, stop in and give this place a try, you wont be disappointed! I will definitely return. I returned today and my lunch was great, and still received the same service!

I opted for the grilled chicken upgrade to my chalupa and burrito with high hopes.. but the chicken was really dry, the chalupa was a taco.. and “rice and beans” was apparently “rice OR beans”. The guy who tried to deliver the food to the table tried to give my order to someone else because he couldn’t even figure out what lunch special it was. Me either man ♂️ It wasn’t terrible, but there are better options nearby.

Rude, rude, rude. I guess my kind (Black woman) is not wanted here. I just left this place and am now enjoying my meal and drinks at La Hacienda in Carmel instead. There was literally only one car on the lot when I pulled up to this place. The server saw me get out the car and disappeared to the back kitchen. I stood patiently at the front door for at least 3 minutes while I could see her through the door in the back intentionally stalling to come greet me. She finally comes up, looks at me, says nothing, and proceeds to go over to the 1 customer in the whole place to take his order. She finally comes up to ask “how can I help you”? No smile and looking at me as if I’m scum of the earth. I answered and said I’d like to dine in. She just points to the table right in front of the cold door and says sit down there like I’m a dog or something. I said excuse me? She says sit down there. I replied and said that’s ok and turned around to leave. She then says, “Thank You!”. I’m happy she behaved that way now I’m here enjoying my delicious meal in a welcoming establishment with plenty of patrons unlike this place. My first time even entering this place and will never come back. Will stick to La Hacienda.

I am wondering if this restaurant has changed ownership. It used to be one of my favorites. Most recently, the service has deteriorated. The food is still OK. However, there’s one gentleman there who creeps on every young woman that goes into the restaurant. He also argues when he makes mistakes on your order. As a woman, I find it very uncomfortable to watch. I would say there’s a coaching opportunity. I hope the management will work on the issue. I wish the old Management or Owner would come back. He was a delight.

In the area for work. I ordered the fajitas, and while they were decent, I was disappointed that they only came with two tortillas. There was a lot of filling left over, which made it a bit tricky to enjoy fully. On the plus side, the service was prompt, and the staff were very friendly, which made for a pleasant dining experience overall. With a couple more tortillas, this would have been a much better meal.

It’s fun to try a flight of the specialized Mexican beverages they serve. The orange drink, can’t remember the name it starts with a T and is sooo good!
Chips and salsa is delicious and the entrées are just great. I’ve picked a various vegetarian entrées each time and always loved them.
I haven’t yet got a chance to sit out on the back patio, but I’m looking forward to it !
