We had high hopes for this spot, but unfortunately, the experience was poor from start to finish. Upon walking in, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant plumbing odor and noticed both restrooms were out of order. We chose to stay to be polite, but the smell made it hard to enjoy being there.
For the premium prices, we expected high-quality, authentic food. Instead, both our steak and chicken burritos were almost entirely filler—mostly lettuce and tomatoes with a massive amount of guacamole, but almost no protein, rice, or beans. The food lacked any seasoning and didn’t feel like authentic Mexican cuisine at all. To top it off, the service was cold and impersonal. We won’t be returning.

First time customer. Ordered one each steak taco, pork taco and golden chicken taco. Steak was dry and tough. Pork had good flavor but overall small portion and dry. The highlight for the 2 stars was the crispy golden chicken taco. Overall the portion size was small and meats were dry. When I rate any Mexican restaurant food my basis for comparison is TACO Bell. In this case I would have been happier if I ate at Taco Bell.

This was the best chile relleno that I have ever had. It might have been the best thing Ive ever eaten. The chile was seasoned perfectly, it was full of cheese, and the sauce on the chiles was so amazing I have no words. My mouth was still watering when I was done eating. Even the fries werw remarkable–jist simoly cooked lerfectly. We will be back!!

It’s a good experience and worth going if you are in the area. It wasn’t the best food I’ve had and everything felt under flavored but it was fresh tasting. Service was awkward and language barriers for me made communicating what I wanted hard. Lots of people walking in and out of the restaurant for seemingly no reason. I would go back someday still and try again even if it wasn’t the best first experience.

Quaint nice place with room to host more. I was there on a quiet Tuesday evening but it seemed to get busier as the night went on.

The plates were carefully and beautifully presented.

We had a sinful appetizer of cheese and chorizo that I know I will pay for later!

I had enchiladas. I liked the Verde (a little heat) better than the tomatillo sauce (a little bitter). My dining companion had the sopas, both chicken and pork, and enjoyed them. I took the avocado off of everything and did without sour cream, and other probably would enjoy those as part of the meal.

Everything was fresh. I will be back when I’m back in town!

Authentic Mexican. Made fresh, even the chips. House salsas. Words cannot explain how good this taco house is.

Mi hacienda always has the best food! Empanadas are fantastic, always fresh, and loads of food for the price. Chorizo nachos and Birria Tacos are also a must have at this location. Super authentic and absolutely in the top two if not the best for Mexican restaurants in all of wayne county hands down. Wait times for pickup are short and the staff is always super nice. Super excited to see they’ve expanded and opened a new restaurant in Sodus point too that’s open seasonally. If you’re in the area and looking for food, this is the place to go!

The waiter wasn’t friendly and seemed bothered by us, as if he didn’t enjoy his job. I ordered a quesadilla, but it was very strange — the lettuce and avocado were stuffed inside, making it huge and messy. All the flavors blended together, and I couldn’t really taste anything distinct. It was also very uncomfortable to eat. The kids’ chicken quesadilla was also disappointing; it was too dry. My children usually love quesadillas, but they couldn’t finish theirs here. If you’re really hungry, it’s okay to eat here, but overall I didn’t enjoy it. Next time, I’ll go somewhere else.
