An excellent restaurant, clean, with good service, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere. You can bring your whole family and they’ll set up a family table for you. The waitresses speak Spanish and English, and they serve a lunch menu until 3 pm at a good price. It’s truly a good restaurant.

Ate here after a full day of fishing on the Green River. Food was good. A little pricey but the portion of food compensates that. The beans were very runny and could use a little texture and that would be my only suggestion. Carne Asada was prepared perfectly. Complimentary chips and salsa was good and came with two sides of salsa. One Conventional and a house salsa that was cabbage based. Interesting but surprisingly delicious.

Reminds me of the local Mexican restaurant back home that was so good they had two locations in the same town.
This restaurant is the best one in Vernal so far all-around when you consider price, atmosphere, service, and food. Service was top-notch!
Went out to lunch with a friend and the price was fitting for the portions and better or same than food truck prices. I really appreciated that in my two enchilada plate, I could try two sauces, so between my friend and I, we got to try four sauces and they were all good! The beans, rice, chips, and salsa were all on point! Exactly what I would expect. I also appreciated the pickled veggies that came with the chips. Food overall was flavorful and as expected without feeling too heavy.
Will be back with the family!

This is amazing Mexican food! I enjoy eating at Mexican restaurants and this is the best I’ve had in a while. We enjoyed Carnitas Chimichangas and chicken taquitos appetizer. Huge plates of goodness!

We had a really good experience here. I’m not from the area, but it seemed like it could be a newer restaurant, with a newer sign/banner strung out front. The atmosphere seemed a bit dull to me, but it also appeared very clean with a good amount of space and numerous tables for dining in. The menu has a great selection, with most items being a lot more expensive than I’m used to in Texas. Probably about triple the cost. I ordered the street taco plate, which includes 2 tacos (meat of your choice) w/ rice & beans. I also ordered a horchata to drink. The food was good & fresh. I like that the waitress came back to ask if we’d like more chips for our salsa. Good experience. I’d be more likely to return often if the prices weren’t as high.

Some of the best Mexican food around. 10/10 food, service and reasonable prices. Family friendly bring the kids! Sadly I didn’t get a picture of my torta but I usually go out to Roosevelt to get one and this one’s right in town and way better. Great job guys!

Service was horrible, waitress was too busy talking to other waitresses. No checking on us after food arrived. Had to call our waitress just for drink refills. Looked like more than enough staff but everyone was running around with their heads cut off. Food was good but doesn’t outweigh poor service.

We had such a nice time here! Our food was absolutely delicious. I ordered chimchangas, and this plate was the largest plate of food I have ever recieved at a restaurant. The waitresses were so kind and atmosphere great!

Bad Birthday lunch vibe!
We have always loved Mi Hacienda and have had wonderful service in the past, which is why today was such a surprise. We went for my son’s birthday lunch with a group of 10, and while it started off great, things quickly went downhill.
Our waitress accidentally spilled part of a drink on my daughter — no big deal, accidents happen. But after our food arrived, she never came back to check on us. We all finished eating and sat for quite a while with our plates still on the table, hoping to order dessert for the birthday celebration. My husband finally asked someone for our waitress, we were told she had gone on a break. That struck us as odd since she was in the middle of serving a large table, and there was not handoff like I’m going on break and so and so will be taking care of you!
When the fill I waitress returned, she simply brought us our tickets. Never asking us how we wanted to handle the bill, I was planning on picking up the tab which I would have told the waitress if she had ever come back.
Then mentioned it was my son’s birthday and that we were hoping to order dessert. Her response was, “Well, it’s free,” said in a tone that felt less than caring tone. We thought maybe she would bring a desert menu, but she brought just the birthday, dessert, placed it in front of my son without asking if anyone else wanted to order something. Then she asked, in a rather dismissive way, “Did you guys want to sing? We’re short-handed.” It wasn’t so much the words as the tone — it felt like we were bothering her. We ended up singing ourselves, but by then the atmosphere felt awkward and rushed, as if we were being pushed out.
This all happened around 2 p.m., not even a busy dinner rush. The experience took away from what we had hoped would be a fun birthday lunch. We’ve always enjoyed this restaurant, but this visit was disappointing and not up to the service we’ve come to expect from Mi Hacienda. I had never seen this particular waitress before (short hair, redish bob). Wished we had gone somewhere else!

The beer was served with a frozen mug with a salted rim!!! This place was great!! 10/10. So far Vernal has a 8.5/10 for food I’ve eaten here!!!but this place ranks in my top 3!!!
