Mi Familia Taco Stand is a must if you’re anywhere near Mexia!
The food is always incredible — everything I’ve tried has been flavorful, and made with love. The Torta especially is a standout: traditional, messy, and packed with flavor.
What really makes this place special is the owner. She’s so friendly and welcoming. Somehow she even remembers me and asks about my family even though I usually only stop by once a year.
The prices are super reasonable, and the vibe is laid-back and unassuming (what do you expect for a highway taco stand??). Definitely worth the stop!

This taco stand in Mexia is a hidden gem! I had a torta that was incredible, and the gordita took me straight back to my mom’s cooking—so authentic and flavorful. The mangonada was super refreshing and smooth, and the elote in a cup was delicious. It’s been a while since I’ve had real Mexican food, and this place did not disappoint.
What made the visit even better was how friendly the owner is—she was very attentive and made us feel so welcomed, even though we stopped by right before closing. Convenient, affordable, and full of flavor—I highly recommend stopping by!

They change extra for Breakfast if you order AFTER 10 AM- With out telling you. it is Not Posted. it say 5.50 for burrito. Lady charged 6.50. Asked her why and this is What she said. Told her this was false and illegal and She did not care. CHECK Your Reciepts. No telling what else they are stealing.

This is actual Mexican food, not the stuff they sell at the corner store. Food tasted damn good along with some flour tortillas. Solid 10/10 for flavor, highly recommended the Bistek Ranchero.
