Stopped in here for a Sunday breakfast around 11am. While it was busy there was no wait for our party of two. We have been to this location in evenings (Que Pasa) but this was our first trip to Mi Familia Cafe. Started with the Cafe de Olla – my first time have this delicious coffee. The level of spice was superb with steamed milk of choice (mine was oat). They were able to bring me an extra side black coffee to adjust the sweetness after the coffee is pressed. I had the Chemo’s Torta for breakfast- a riff on a Cubano sandwich and some battered fries. Served hot – the sandwich was the right amount of savory , smoky meats with pickled red onions and mustardy tang. Staff was friendly and checked on us frequently. 100% would recommend.

The chilaquiles were absolutely delicious—full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was great, very friendly and attentive. The restaurant also looked really nice and clean, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely come back!

I can’t believe this place only has 22 reviews! Undiscovered gem. We we’re so excited about our food that we forgot to take pictures before eating. Great covered and heated patio, very nice atmosphere inside and out, AMAZING food. The whole experience was a delight. I highly recommend checking this place out for brunch.

First time visiting this café, and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the wall art made it feel like home. Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We ordered the chilaquiles divorciados, and they were incredible. I also got to try the French toast, torta de chemo, and panuchos, everything was cooked to perfection.
Don’t miss the café de olla with cinnamon and piloncillo, it’s the perfect drink for the fall weather. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Best breakfast I’ve had in Portland. The cafe de olla and chilaquiles were delicious! I also got a pastry last time, not sure exactly what it was called but it was a cajeta pastry that was also amazing. I’m bringing everyone here!

Have you ever been to a place and you couldn’t believe how good it was? And when it’s time to write a review you just can’t find enough words or the right words to describe how amazing it was?
That is definitely how I feel about Mi familia!!
Each bite of the chilaquiles was heaven. Cafe de Olla wowzer! My husband ate the menudo. He is super picky about his menudo. And he absolutely loved it. Side note. He eats his menudo with bolillo. They gave him some and he couldn’t stop telling me how much it reminded him of home.
Please never change. Your food is bomb.

If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. This place is such a vibe, the food was amazing, the service was top notch, hands down the best horchata I’ve had in Portland. Loved the phone-in-the-basket idea. Found it on TikTok and it was totally worth the hype!
