We came here during lunchtime and were so hungry. Our food came out in about 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad. We ordered the Birria tacos that come with rice, beans, and of course the consomé. Everything was delicious — def a 9.5/10!
For dessert, we got the fried ice cream. So good, so crunchy, so creamy — 10/10 for sure.
Lastly, I ordered the mangonada, and unfortunately it was a disappointment. It was watery and didn’t taste like mango at all. I’d say it’s not worth the money
Overall, great food and dessert, just skip the mangonada.

The idea is very simple, cilantro is not for everyone and the taste of it is very strong and dominant.
The taco platter was enough for 4 people. They were all pretty good, but as I said the cilantro wasn’t a friend of mine . The tastier taco for me was the fried one. The salsa though was amazing – especially the green one.
I liked the nachos.
The churro bites weren’t too great either because they were very oily. I had churros before and sadly these were not as good.
Regarding drinks, the margarita was the best I ever had.
The service was great and the waitress very friendly.

You don’t need to go to Mexican Town in Detroit to experience authentic Mexican food.We have a spot right here in downtown Windsor.Huge portions,service was outstanding and the beef enchiladas we ordered were served hot.Highly recommend Mi Casita Restaurant and Bar.

Very good food the birria tacos are amazing. Very friendly service nice authentic Mexican food located in Windsor. One suggestion is your flaming cheese is great just the cheese is just a bit thick when it melted other than that I love the bold flavours.

Came here tonight as a last minute choice, as our first pick for Mexican food had a 1.5 hour wait for seats. So, we left and I suggested Mi Casita based on coworkers reviews. Although not in the best location, we were pleasantly surprised. The table started off with pina coladas, and they were beautiful, albeit a bit tart. Then, next we received complimentary tortilla chips, which was lovely. It took a bit to receive our entrees, probably about 45 minutes? But it was with worth it. Our table ordered Birria tacos (x 2 orders), a pulled beef burrito, and lastly, a shrimp fajitas platter. Everything was delicious, however in the interest of time, perhaps pre-order so you can get your food when you arrive.
Also noteworthy was the staff. Our server was Savannah, and she was kind and attentive. The other staff were just as good when we asked for extra napkins or whatnot.

I’ve ordered here many times and the food was always great and never had any issues until last week when we ordered their barria taco combos.
I was eating my 2nd taco and bit into something slimy and rubbery, I spit it out only to find what looked like a large piece of fat or stomach lining. I convinced myself it may have just been fat or something and continued onto my 3rd taco when again I found another piece (photo below)
At this point I was disgusted at what looked like a ventricle or chitterlings, I don’t know wth that was. I called the restaurant and asked for the owner and explained my issue. They asked for my number and said they would have someone call me. I called back 2 days later and was told the same thing again. It has now been almost a week and I still have not spoken to the owner.
I am not into bashing our local businesses or anything like that, quite the contrary actually, so I was really hoping the owner would contact me to make this right and not have to leave a bad review and expose these photos but sadly they don’t seem to care about their patrons’ experiences.
I saved the piece I found on my tacos and will upload the remaining pictures when I get home

Chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner, I was worried about being disappointed. Let me tell you, it was the exact opposite! Everyone was very happy with their food. The birria tacos were delicious! Portions were great sizes. Will 100% be back! Very fast service & nice staff, our server Nicole was wonderful!

Excellent food and drink. Margaritas are delicious, and pupusas and birria tacos were great as well. Savanah was a great server and made the best lime margaritas! They do indicate on the menu that you get complimentary chips and salsa for the table, I was never given these but I’m not sure if maybe you have to ask for them? I just assumed they would automatically be provided and I saw the next table beside me get them so I’m not sure why I didn’t. Regardless, I would definitely return
