A great experience today at this Mexican restaurant. There is a small parking lot right in front of it, and there is street parking available. Can be hectic during peak hours.

Today Saturday around 2 pm, it was not busy. People were coming in and out, but didn’t get crowded.

Very nice atmosphere. They had a few soccer games going on their tvs, music was low and pleasant.

Good customer service, our waitress was Lorena, very kind, friendly, professional, and attentive.

The food was delicious. Every one of our plates was about $15 or so. Very reasonable price for the quality and quantity of food.

We also asked for handmade tortillas… DELICIOUS!

Definitely recommended if you are around this area! It was worth the drive from Lake Forest.

Heard about this place from placentia buzz and thought we’d finally try it out since we were taking a stroll. The service was AMAZING. From the moment we walked in we were seated immediately. The waitress was so patient with us since it was our first time and we were unsure of what to get. The sopes are a must!! I got 2 thinking they’d be on the smaller side but they were actually a decent size and unfortunately I only ate one since I got rice and beans on the side. Which btw the rice and beans were so delicious (placentia buzz had recommended the rice and they did not disappoint tbh). Anyway, my bf got the fajitas de asada with rice, beans and hand made tortillas. I tried his dish and it was also tasty. Overall, we give the entire experience 11/10. Highly highly recommend the sopes! They def have a homemade taste to them! I can’t wait to go back!

One of the best hole in the wall restaurants I’ve been to. Hand made tortillas are amazing, plus all the other food was made to perfection! And if you like molcajetes, they are HUGE!

Exceptional Service and Delicious Food
We had a wonderful dining experience here that exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff provided fantastic service that was both efficient and genuinely helpful.

What really stood out was how welcoming everyone was – you could tell they truly cared about making sure guests had a great time, and they did it all with warm, genuine smiles.

The food was outstanding. Everything arrived fresh and was bursting with flavor. The portions were generous and satisfying – I left feeling perfectly full and completely satisfied with my meal. You can tell they take pride in their ingredients and preparation.

This is the kind of place that gets both the service and the food right, which isn’t always easy to find. The combination of excellent hospitality and quality cuisine makes this a spot I’d definitely return to and recommend to others.

A nice Gem of Santa fe street in old town Placentia. The food is excellent (I highly recommend the Sope’s). And the price cannot be beat. The salsa has a nice spice to it (so does the red sauces). I found convenient parking right across the street, and the waitress was friendly. I have zero complaints and will be surely coming back. Try it for yourself!

My go to spot for authentic mexican food, the hours are kinda weird because they only offer tacos and burritos after a certain time which is a huge bummer because the full menu is so amazing. I HIGHLY recommend the Camaron a la diabla and the Mi Casita molcajete. Be warned the A la diabla is spicy! But it burns so good. They also offer hand made corn tortillas which is the best. The staff is always super nice and we come so often they already recognize me and my family if you’re looking for good Mexican food this is the spot! Way better than El Farolito up the street in my opinion.

As a first time customer, I was really impressed with how friendly the staff was. Real humble people. The food is exactly what good home cooking mexican food should taste like. However it was very tasteful, delicious and mmm-mmm good!! Oh did I mention the homemade corn tortillas are very gooood. Overall it was a very good & pleasant experience.
