MI CASA TU CASA MEXICAN RESTAURANT – Authentic Mexican …
Reviews
Service is great and the establishment is clean.
There are small details in the restaurant that makes its unique like the wall highlighting to Mexican History.
We had Chiles rellenos, The Mi Mexico Platter, and a couple of tacos and tamales.
No Changing table in the Bathroom
Good Kids Menu option
This restaurant merits higher than the 3.9 stars it currently has. 2 families, 8 total, 4 kids…everybody liked the meals they ordered and we left with 3 takeout boxes (for those criticizing the portions).
Service was TOP NOTCH – the proprietors are so dang nice and want you to be happy. Tortilla chips came out as soon as we were all seated. Some reviewers complained about the salsa that comes with the tortilla chips…if you took a moment to ask the owner, they would have told you it was a blend of fresh jalapeno, tomatilla, onions, etc. Different for sure, but awesome. Kids did want a more traditional salsa for the chips so we asked for pico de gallo, which was very fresh and delicious, as well.
Me and a buddy had a beef and a chicken fajita that was generous in size and came out sizzling hot. For the reviewers who complained about the fajitas lacking traditional sides, each fajita came with a nice helping of Mexican rice and black beans. There were also 3 chicken enchilada orders, a cheese enchilada, and a beef burrito, each of which was delicious.
Prices were exactly what I would expect, nothing shocking. Diverse menu, they bake the bread for their sandwiches on premise, and they serve breakfast M-F starting at 6 (pls confirm).
In summation, with great power (Google reviews) comes great responsibility – please use your power to rate and review properly so people, like myself and my family, have an accurate picture of an establishment before we go there.
Our $14 nachos appetizer arrived and was nothing but a few chips, jalapeños and cold Cheez Wiz. Our entrees didn’t come with any sides so we each ordered sides of beans and rice at a cost of $5 each. $20 total for mushy rice and the beans were simply a can of black beans opened and poured into bowls. My husband said his tacos were ok. I ordered the breaded shrimp which was at least served hot but very greasy and completely unseasoned. Pictures included.
Our server was wonderful, but whoever is in the kitchen has no clue of what they’re doing. I truly hope they can figure it all out.
