We passed by this Mexican restaurant and thought of taking the children there one day. Well it was a pretty good experience for the family trying out new things in new places. The owner greeted us, and our waitress Aharon was friendly. The children liked seeing the Fajitas served with hot plates. We ended up with some leftovers to take home. Nice little family business located next to a Dollar General and it has its own parking lot on the back and across the street is a gas station. If you ever pass by Whaleyville, Suffolk, and you are hungry for some Mexican food and wanted a place to sit down and dine, consider Mi Casa Bella.

Was pretty busy for a weekday. We wanted to try it out, as we live near by. We love mexican food and were surprised how good the beans and the food (steak&carnitas) , fajitas, their sauces & chips, were. Fried ice cream was good too. We’ll definitely come back, it’s an excellent mexican. Gracias!

We recently moved to Virginia from San Diego, California about a year ago and I’ve really missed good Mexican food, until now! This place is hands down the best I’ve found in the area. The food is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.
What really makes it special, though, is the owners. They’re so welcoming and personable, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. We were so excited to see this new spot open, and it has completely exceeded our expectations. I can’t recommend it enough!

We just flew into Virginia from Ohio and found this place on our drive to North Carolina! I am so glad we did! Helen was our server and she was very attentive and kind. We had the fajita burrito with steak, ala carte beef tacos, and an ala carte grilled chicken quesadilla. We also got the sopapillas and the churros. The food was delicious and served quickly! The total price for all three of us including dessert was under $60. We will stop back another time!

Came with a large party. They were quick to rearrange vacant tables so we could sit together. Service was excellent and they were so friendly and attentive. Food arrived hot and was absolutely delicious! Everyone got exactly what they ordered. It was also karaoke night. DJ Kellie was there and played popular Christmas songs and encouraged guests to sing. Thank you Mi Casa Bella for a wonderful and memorable family get-together. Definitely at the top of my favorite restaurants!

We ate for the first time at the new Mexican restaurant and we are pleased to have such a wonderful place to go! The owners, Regina and Augustine, met us when we came in. They were warm, friendly and you can tell they love what they are doing. We ordered carnitas, a quesadilla fajita with chicken, a side of guacamole and the puffy sopapillas for dessert. Everything was fantastic. They asked if we wanted everything in the guacamole and made it without the jalapenos- per my request. It was chunky and flavorful with just the right touch of lime. I was SO excited to see puffy sopapillas instead of the flat ones. I truly hope everyone gives this spot a try.

If I could give a negative star I would! My daughter and I went for lunch. We waited nearly 20 minutes for a server (owner) to bring us a drink almost 40 minutes for cheese dip that was an appetizer yet served WITH our awful meal. I ate two bites my daughter ate 3 or 4 we then left all the food because NO. We had to get our own silverware, drink refills, napkins etc while our server (owner) chatted up a storm with two other tables. I’m local and was looking forward to this but this place is pretty bad. Not to mention my son took his sons there yesterday for lunch they were at work so yes dirty but the server who AGAIN was the owner told my son he should wash the boys up. No you should mind your business because it’s going to fail quickly! Oh and a molcajete BOWL is to be served in a stone bowl AS THEY ADVERTISE on their own menu. Mine was served on yet another mismatched chipped dingy plate. We left and went straight to Catrina’s!

I was very nervous to try a new place but I was amazed by the food! Everything was good from the chips, drinks and food! We are definitely coming back again and I’m curious to try their breakfast one day! I wish they had tortas tho 😉 We did came during a not a busy time so I hope the service is the same at any time 🙂

Little gem in Whaleyville. Atmosphere was friendly and clean. Greeted when we walked in and seated immediately. Ordered and received everything quickly and accurately. Carnitas and fajitas were tasty. Got to chat with the owners while we waited for our order. Super friendly and showed they care about the service. We were regularly checked in on to make sure the food was good and drinks were topped off. We will be back!
