My wife and I were regulars when we lived in Belleville a dozen years ago. Since we moved, we haven’t made it back often, but, when we do, Mi Casa never disappoints! On our last visit, the missus had the always-delicious Mi Casa tacos, and I sampled the El Toriado (a dish that is becoming a staple at Mexican restaurants in the area). Both were fabulous.

Order was placed on GrubHub then the Time kept changing so when I go to the app, it says that their company had paused Deliveries and that I had to switch to pickups the app wouldn’t let me switch so I called the store. The guy said yes your order is ready and that I can come pick it up. I explained what was going on when I got there. The guy said can you confirm the pick up on the Grubhub app? I said well I’m not a GrubHub driver. I showed him that phone where it says on the app that deliveries were paused. He said no they’re not. You’re just trying to steal the food. I’ve already showed him on the app. I’ve actually flipped through the app so he can see it wasn’t a picture that it was a live app so he snatched the food back and said unless you can pick up through the Grubhub app and confirm I don’t know if you’re stealing this for me so I called GrubHub. GrubHub tells them they have to set the pick up for someone to be able to pick it up because they can’t confirm for me over the phone since I don’t work for GrubHub. The guy played stupid like he didn’t understand what GrubHub was talking about. He act like he didn’t understand that it said deliveries were paused, so the entire order had to be canceled. The guy was very nasty yelling. What am I supposed to do with all of this food? If you cancel your order well it was already paid for. I told him that I would even tell GrubHub I’m picking it up so they can close it out and he still didn’t want to It’s bad enough. I’m already sick getting over the flu and just wanted to order something for me and my daughter to be met with disgusting attitude, rude people and bad customer service. This was my first time attempting to eat at the restaurant. There is no way possible that I would ever come back and to make matters worse it’s smelled like an open sewage yard when you first come into the building if you’re gonna have nasty customer service at least have a better appearance and smell within the store.

I regularly order the same item, yet I am charged a different price almost every time. On my most recent visit, I questioned the price difference, especially since the same employee has been the one charging me each time. Instead of providing an explanation, the server was very rude and dismissed my concern, telling me to speak to the manager.
I am simply looking for consistency and transparency in pricing, along with respectful customer service.

My husband and I took two friends there Saturday evening. Three of us ordered soda, which was absolutely dead flat. My husband tried to pour the salsa, but it was so frozen that it couldn’t come out of the bottle. We left because we were afraid to eat there. We paid for the drinks even though they weren’t drinkable. Paying took about ten minutes because the employee couldn’t read the check.

I’m from California which has the best Hispanic food so I’m biased but for a Midwest Hispanic restaurant this place is top notch my wife and I came in and had a margarita each just the right amount of sweet to alcohol content you want the fajitas had great flavor and my wife said the enchiladas verde were amazing definitely going back soon.

First time here and for the most part, everything was great. Friendly staff. Food was great.
HOWEVER, epic fail on the HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY and willingness to show any concern or desire to resolve the problem.
I use a walker and my mother is in a wheelchair. We parked in handicap spot. The spot between handicap spots has a ramp that is painted w lines, however, it is directly in front of a parking space which is not marked as “no parking” and no lines painted on actual spot. While in restaurant someone parked there, blocking access to the ramp. When we came out of restaurant, we could not use the ramp to get the wheelchair or walker down into parking lot. Had to tip wheelchair w my 75 yr old mom in it, over the curb. When I went inside to let restaurant know this was an issue, i was told “you just need to be patient and wait for them to leave.” We should not get trapped at a restaurant waiting. We had other places to be and were forced into a dangerous situation to get down the curb w no ramp.
This business needs to mark the spot w the ramp as “no parking” or paint full spot w lines so that ramp access is preserved and people dont get trapped in the restaurant unable to leave. Or forced to dangerously push a wheelchair off a curb.

I knew from the moment we sat down that the food would be good. Why? Because the chips tasted like they were fresh out of the box and the salsa tasted so good.
Margaritas are very good and are absolutely worth it if you’re just coming out to do some drinking.
I had the Pollo Cancun which was very good. Mushrooms were fresh, shrimp was cooked well and the chicken was well seasoned. I think guacamole would go better with it rather than pico de gayo, and it wod be kicked up a notch with some bacon, but that’s just personal preference.
Acceptable portions for the money. I’d say it’s right about where it should be for what you’re paying.

This is our second review of Mi Casa. The best Mexican restaurant around for miles. The food is home style and always great. They use fresh ingredients, and it shows in the taste of their food. We love the atmosphere and have brought our friends and relatives there to dine.
