Beautiful patio and excellent service. Table side made guacamole was soooo nummy. Pork was tasty but fish tacos were a little bland and although beautifully presented, drinks were fruity and sweet but pretty mild. Chips and salsa had lots of flavor and they brought out a fresh basket anytime we started running low. Parking was pretty easy and tables had plenty of space to pack in several friends for a fun meal.

Our first time here and it did not disappoint! Food was so delicious and our server was friendly, efficient and quick with drink refills! This place was super busy but they kept the flow of traffic moving and everyone happy! We will definitely be back!

Our first visit. Gotta say their side portion of chicken soup is my new favorite food! So flavorful and full of vegetables and shredded chicken. I already know I will order this anytime I eat here. The staff was attentive. The chips & salsa was delicious. I wasn’t too hungry so I saved my entree to take home. That soup was amazing. I loved that they had table side guacamole prep even at lunch time. We didn’t get it again because side we weren’t real hungry but will plan better for next time.

I visited with a group and thought the food was okay and the overall dining experience was fine. However, the day after our visit, my card was charged for food that had not been paid for by people in our group. When I returned to address it, they did issue a refund, but the situation was handled poorly. I encountered a few rude attitudes and felt rushed out the door while surrounded by multiple staff members. Instead of taking ownership of the mistake, they acted as though simply refunding it made everything “fine.” The charge was concerning, but the way it was handled was even more disappointing.

Stopped by for a late lunch on a weekday. We usually sit out on the covered patio, but it was way too hot, so we sat inside. As soon as we walked into the restaurant we noticed a bathroom smell. Oddly the bathrooms are located right across from the row of booths. We sat as far away from the bathrooms as possible, but not far enough to completely get away from the odor. Very strange, I guess the employees don’t notice the odor. Either way, not a very appealing atmosphere for a restaurant.
The food was okay, I liked my chicken enchiladas, but my wife wasn’t impressed with her taco salad. The restaurant was slow mid-afternoon and the staff were mostly on break.
They really need to do something about that odor. We wouldn’t eat there again if it’s too warm to sit on the patio.

Full disclosure – we are recently transplanted Texans and were looking for some good Tex-Mex on a Friday night, so we thought we would give Mi Cancun a try.
Highlights – we both enjoyed the chicken soup which was very flavorful and my wife liked her chicken enchiladas.
Just Okay – I had the enchilada especial (beef, bean, chicken and cheese enchiladas). I knew the same sauce was used for all four enchiladas but gave it a go. The dish would be improved if different sauces were used to highlight the flavors of the fillings. The red salsa accompanying the chips could use additional flavoring to make it more distinct. Adding a good verde salsa to accompany the red salsa would provide a different flavor profile and would also be a win for people that prefer verde over red.
Not Worthwhile – We were looking for a classic frozen lime margarita with salted rim and that is what we ordered. We both got a salted glass but the concotion in the glass was not frozen by any stretch and, other than the lime garnish, didn’t have the traditional lime-based flavor. Which, in retrospect, was our bad since a menu review showed the drink we received to be the one listed. Even adjusting for my mistake, I didn’t find the drink to be one that I would order again.

drinks are good, pricey. the waiter charged me $5 extra for his tip. they wanted me to go to them for the cash, but some ppl are travelers and unable to return back the next day (after the payment was completed). mistakes happen but they need to have a better way to return money.

I know people who love this place and hate this place. I ordered the cheese and chicken enchiladas. Beans and rice were good. Chicken enchilada was pretty good and cheese enchilada was okay, the cheese inside tasted similar to the cheese dip which wasn’t expected. My husband got the tamale platter and that was a 1 star. I tried it as well and the sauce on top tasted like canned tomato sauce, tamale texture was off and meat was flavorless. Chips and salsa were good. So idk, seems like you have to find something you like on the menu. Hit or miss!
