I was pleasantly surprised by this “taco-shop.” The interior is exceptionally clean and feels more like a casual restaurant than a typical counter-service spot.
I appreciated that they serve your food on real plates when you dine in.
A major highlight was the horchata machine, which offered a variety of flavors, as well as the salsa bar, where everything was fresh and delicious. They serve beer too!
The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome.

Food was absolutely delicious! I got the Chilaquiles and it was amazing. Some of the better traditional style I’ve had in a very long time. The gentleman at the front was extremely kind. And the restaurant was super clean. Would definitely recommend this spot

Very good food. Have been eating here regularly for years, and they serve consistently delicious Mexican food. Great carne asada!!! Great breakfast burritos, as well. Never had a bad meal or time here. My go-to local Mexican restaurant.

Very disappointing experience at this Mexican restaurant in San Diego. The server had a terrible attitude – no basic courtesy, impatient, and made us feel like we were bothering them. When we asked questions about the menu, they were dismissive, and when the food came, it was served with no care at all. The food itself was just average, but the awful service made the whole visit unpleasant. There are so many better Mexican restaurants in San Diego – this one is not worth your time or money.

My favorite taco shop in the area! Food is always hot and fresh and delicious. But the best part is the warm and friendly service – always makes me happy to pop in and grab a breakfast burrito.

The food and service here is always exceptional. Others have commented about their burritos being small… while their burritos may be a little (10-15%) smaller than some other places, I still usually have a difficult time finishing one in a single sitting. A breakfast burrito will usually end up being my breakfast and lunch. Their fish tacos are MUCH better than the Rubios down the street and their chilaquilles are as authentic as I remember from when I lived in Manzanillo.

Came here because I was craving a green sauce enchilada (not many Mexican places use green sauce) The owner greeted me and was so personable and kind d and thanked me for coming. Was so friendly and the place was pretty quiet and clean and atmospheric. It’s a real vibe with the cool decorations and “homey” too!! It’s gives “home diner” vibes but mexican version and colorful atmosphere. Enjoyed my to-go experience! The food was yummy exactly what I needed!

After visiting here for the first time was not what I expected. I ordered my food to eat in and was waiting for a while. Everybody else was getting their food except for me. I noticed that my food was sitting on the counter and they made it to go when I asked to dine in. Also, the salsa bar did not have the option. I wanted it was empty of green salsa and also had no carrots and jalapeños available. The tray was empty. I ordered a Carne asada burrito and when I received it, I was very disappointed. It was about the size of a taco never coming here again. The employees were really great and very attentive.

Best food on earth. Everything about this place is so amazing the workers, the food, and the atmosphere. I’ve been coming here for 14 years and the food has only gotten better. Would 100% recommend this place

This place is great.
Very polite staff, very clean.
Good amount of food for the price point.
I got the #12 combo.
If you are in the area and hungry for good Mexican cuisine hit this place up.
Second visit:
I ate at the restaurant this time and got the #10 Al Pastor plate.
Delicious!
