Chicken fajitas came out sizzling and packed with flavor, and the service was excellent from start to finish — quick, friendly, and attentive. The complimentary chips were crisp and fresh, and the salsa leaned toward the mild side, perfect if you prefer a gentler start before the main dish.
What really sets this place apart is the décor. The hand-painted booths, murals, and colorful artwork make the whole restaurant feel like you’ve stepped into another world. It’s vibrant, unique, and adds a ton of character to the meal.
Overall, a delicious and welcoming spot — the Force feels strong here.

This is a welcoming spot on the square in Martinsville, IN. It’s full of local charm and brings Authentic Mexican flavors to the area with a vibrant, colorful decor.
The food was good and offered classic dishes like fajitas, enchiladas, and tacos. Everything came out hot with generous servings that make it great for sharing or taking leftovers home. It’s not quite “great” in the standout, mind-blowing sense, but it the spot for what I was craving.
Service was friendly and efficient.
Overall, I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars. It’s a dependable choice for Mexican in Martinsville—definitely worth a visit if you’re local or passing through.

Definitely worth the drive to Mi Abuelito! I absolutely love the decor and ambience of the restaurant but the staff and food stole the show! I ordered the seafood fajitas (with a side of diabla sauce cause I like it spicy) that I shared with my son, and my daughter had the Burrito Mi Abuelito. She said it was the best burrito she’s ever had! The seafood consisted of nice-sized, as-fresh-as-you-can-get-in-Indy shrimp and scallops, and caramelized to perfection with the onions and peppers. I also tried their Mangonada Margarita, and girl!! So good with the chamoy and Tajin rim but way too big for me to even get through a quarter of it… My favorite food item by far though was the Diabla sauce. I eat a lot of Camarones a la Diabla, but this sauce was unlike any I’ve had before. I absolutely love when the heat comes at the end so you’re able to enjoy all of the flavor before the heat — and this Diabla sauce did exactly that. Packed on the flavor then hit you upside the head with the heat as you’re ending out the bite. Well done, Mi Abuelito! We’re not in Martinsville often, but it will be worth the drive for us to come back again soon!

We tried out the new Mi Abuelito restaurant recently. We opted for Fajitas, Tacos, and Burritos and were pretty happy with our first visit. We’ll be back to try more!

This was our first time and we were very excited. Upon being greeted we were immediately asked what we wanted to eat. We had never seen the menu and asked for more time. The server came back 5 times within maybe 7 minutes while we had our menus out and trying to figure out what we wanted. Each time he seemed more irritated than before that we hadn’t decided. I have worked in restaurants for over 20 years and I could never imagine being so pushy and making guests feel so unwelcome. My family said the the food but not great.

Went here for the first time tonight, and GOSH was it good! This place has some of the best salsa I’ve ever tasted, the beef in the entrees is so well seasoned, and although I got takeout, it’s quite a nice place inside. Such good food. I was well pleased.

Fast friendly seating. Waiter was super knowledgeable, answered every question and was very accommodating with my mother who was using her wheelchair. He was also on top of refills and very helpful with the extras we asked for. Food was AMAZING!

This is a great Mexican restaurant that faces the Town Square in the quaint town of Martinsville, Indiana. I’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants throughout the US, but this place has the most unique decorations of any place I’ve visited. According to one of the workers, all the booths, tables, chairs and lighting were brought here from Mexico by the owner. It is simply beautiful. Hand-carved in wood and painted in bright colors adds to the feeling that you’re about the have an authentic meal. The food was served hot and fresh and the portions were large. I had the shrimp chimichanga and there was plenty of grilled shrimp. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back if I’m ever in that area again.

Don’t fall for the 4.6 star rating! I never post a review, but this food made me sick. A friend and I went for lunch. It smelled really good, had great reviews, and wasn’t over priced.
The beans were PURPLE and tasted like milk. The food either had no flavor or was overly salty. And the service… It was not very good at all.
And as stated earlier, the food made me sick.
