Oh my god my food blew me away. I was across the street waiting for tires and I’m so glad I gave it a try. Lived in Hawaii for 4 years and it’s better than any food I had there. 10x better than Zippys. I got the pineapple chicken, it was so crispy and delicious. The Mac Salad is packed with flavor. It was a huge scoop but I wish I bought a whole tub that’s how good and fresh it was. My husband ate 3 gyoza before I could take the pic, definitely homemade. And I could tell they care for the place everything was spotless, hope this place stays for a long time so I can come back next time I’m in Portland.

Got a three meat plate (teriyaki, pork, shoyu) and it did not disappoint in any way. Order extra mac salad cause it SMACKS and while the portion is fair, more is better. Rice was plentiful. The char on the teriyaki was exquisite. Pork was deeply flavorful and perfectly salty. Shoyu chicken balanced out the other two proteins with a delicate sweetness. I’m a grown man and this is an easy 2-3 meals worth of food. Very impressed all around, highly recommend.

The Mac & cheese is insane, love the passion orange chicken, teriyaki, and the kalbi is fire. Mac salad is the best in town as well. I’ve been going to mgwalex’s for over 7 years, so happy they recently moved so close to me! the people that run the truck are so sweet and happy. The only negative is the rice has gone a little downhill. It’s overcooked and a little mushy, my husband thinks it’s still good but for me I’m so picky when it comes to rice.

Ordered online no problem and pick up was fast and easy. Items were as requested, my son wanted a plain burger and he really liked it, I also tasted and thought it was good. We ordered the kalua pork and the shoyu chicken. The pork is smoky and delicious and the chicken is tender and slightly sweet, just wonderful. Price was good for the food we received. This is our second time coming and we look forward to coming here again, great location near SE 82nd and Flavel.

Taste nothing like back home on maui. If you want good hawaiian food let me recommend i’olanis plate lunch right down the road on 82nd.
