Mezzo Market is a true gem in Charlotte! The food is absolutely delicious and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I had the Chicken Piccata, which was perfectly prepared and full of bright, balanced flavor. Others in our group ordered the Cubano sandwich, lentil soup, and a grain bowl — every dish was a hit and beautifully presented.
They also have a well-curated selection of wines, Italian cookies, and a fantastic variety of take-home meals. You can stock up on lasagna, meatballs, sauces, soups, and fresh veggies — all prepared with the same care and quality as the dine-in dishes.
Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner, or grabbing gourmet meals to enjoy at home!

Very excited that Mezzo Market opened in Charlotte, NC. I usually give the place about a month to work out all the kinks and I’ve tried to go numerous times but it’s been packed. I finally went later on a weeknight and it has a really great vibe. I love that. There is a bottle shop and you could buy beers and wine bottles. They also have food to go and a case that had lots of different desserts. The space was very inviting. I loved that the bar is both indoor and outdoor. The bathrooms were super clean and the service was fantastic. My friend and I sat at the bar. I ordered the lamb sandwich and the meat pizza- both were pretty good. I thought they were priced reasonably as well. They also had a pretty great drink menu and lots of wine by the glass and by the bottle.

We stopped by this place after reading rave reviews on different newsletters, plus we ride by it frequently on The Plaza. We went mid afternoon on a Thursday, and it was nice and quiet. The menu is not overwhelming with great healthy choices and pizza available. We got the roasted veggie salad and tabouleh salad. You can add a protein but we opted to get them as is. The roasted veggie salad had lovely beets, kale and sweet potatoes with crunchy pistachios. Our servers/bartenders the Chris’s were very personable and gave great recommendations. The bar has ample room, local beers on tap, wine and spirits. Good selection of wine to go, ready-made food to take home to heat up. Lovey space indoor and outdoor. They probably get very busy after work hours and weekends with neighborhood folks. Good sized parking lot and also on street neighborhood parking. We will definitely be back, had a great time.

That feeling when a place deserves praise but you kind of don’t want to give it, because then it will get too busy and you won’t be able to get a table… We went for brunch, and everything was excellent — the food, the service, and the atmosphere. It’s a nice “neighborhood” feel with an Eastern Mediterranean menu that feels unique but accessible. You can see the prices yourself — they feel a little bit high, but I think that’s just the reality of eating out in 2026. We’re looking forward to trying out dinner one night soon.

We’ve been coming to Mezzo Market since they opened, and it’s become one of our favorite spots to visit with our kids and friends. The staff, manager, and owners are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel special. The food, coffee, wine and drinks are consistently great — fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared.
They truly took it up a notch when we hosted our 4-year-old’s birthday party on the patio. Everything was seamless, the atmosphere was perfect for both kids and adults, and our friends and family had such a wonderful time. It was the ideal setting for a celebration — relaxed, fun, and beautifully done.
The outdoor backyard area is amazing — the soccer goals are perfect for kids to run around, and there’s plenty of space for dogs too. It’s such a rare find to have a place where both adults and kids can genuinely enjoy themselves.

This place is super cute! Part bodega and part bar/restaurant.
We sat at the bar and enjoyed the pork cheeks and a pizza. The pork cheeks are soooo good!
There is a side patio for outdoor dining when the weather is nice.
There is a small parking lot in front that holds about 10 cars.
Will definitely be back to try more menu items!

I was so happy to see Tabouli Salad on the menu. Jo got the roasted vegetable grain bowl. Both were excellent. We sat at the bar. Chris our bartender let Jo sample two white wines before deciding. I got a beer. Very chill place. They have “grab and go” food. Appreciate the spacious parking lot. Will definitely be back.

We ordered a summer salad, sausage and grape (yes, grape!) pizza and a chai latte. Everything was great – the pizza was unique and tasty and the chai latte might be my new fav in Charlotte!
Can’t wait to go back and enjoy their selection of wine!

I was fortunate to get invited to their soft opening. At that event I tried a slice of pizza and it was excellent! Then yesterday, my wife and I got a take-out salad, with beef and it was excellent too. The beef was really flavorful and tender.
As a longtime resident of Plaza Midwood, I’m glad to see Djordje and Carol putting so much care in restoring and updating this space. And given the food is so good, I’m sure it will be a neighborhood favorite!

The pictures look like large servings, but the plates are tiny, just FYI – it’s great for brunch! The food is good, fresh ingredients, but all the flavor of someone who thinks mayo is spicy. I’ve been to Greece, Italy, Turkye, all over the Mediterranean and the flavors are amazing! This place has the main items but lacked the flavor.
