Absolutely LOVE this restaurant! Ever since we were introduced by our friends we have been addicted. There are a lot of great dishes. The atmosphere is great. Live music, perfect lighting, amazing staff. The lamb is insanely delicious. Once I had it, I had to have it again…. and again. Always coming back.

Cute and quaint place with amazing food. We started our meal the the calamari that was fried and seasoned to perfection. My husband had the seafood spaghetti and I had the lamb chops with vegetables. Great wine selection and the cocktails were well made. Can’t wait to come back and try other menu items.

Made a reservation for Friday night, outside. We got there and decided we wanted to eat inside and were accommodated right away. We went to another Italian restaurant the night before. We had the pizza there, and it was really good.

The kids are away so we went out again the next night and chose Mezzanotte Ristorante. I read the reviews and love that the owner responds to most of the reviews, good or bad.

I liked the Pumpkin Ravioli as the appetizer, but the wife did not care for it. We’ve never had it and now we know. The bread and oil was really, really good, much better that the other place we went the night before.

I had the lasagna and the wife had the lamb chops. Amazing!!! We both loved our dishes. My wife ordered the pistachio mint sauce on the side because she didn’t know if she would like it. Afterwards she said she should have just taken the sauce as prepared; It was that good.

Next time I’m going to save room for desert.

It was refreshing to go to such a nice place. Hard to believe I’ve lived in Cypress 10 years and just now getting to enjoy this location. The live music really set the tone. Our server Lindsey was very observant, knowledgeable and always there for our questions and needs. Another patron had secretly paid for our first round of drinks and appetizers. Thank you Mrs Williams for that kind gesture.

Mezzanotte, Terra Vino (the Woodlands) and Pane Vino (Katy-Gaston at Grand Pkwy) share my top spots for the best tasting, best prepared Italian food in Houston and surrounding areas. None are very affordable but I don’t mind paying more for food that stands out among the rest. My wife and Italian-immigrant mother-law compared all three restaurants’ Bolognese dishes and awarded Mezzanotte the blue ribbon, primarily for using the most traditional pasta for the dish. I find the food and staff exceptional and have yet to be disappointed by anything served to me, w/ the exception of their limoncello martini and the stingy portion of lasagne served. All other portions are adequate for their prices and the pomegranate martini is a must-try. I also appreciate their respect for veterans.

We really enjoyed the friendly service and the lovely atmosphere, and the lamb was absolutely delicious. However, the spaghetti and meatballs was a major letdown. It felt like a low-effort home meal—think jarred sauce and frozen meatballs—which is really disappointing to encounter at a high-end Italian establishment. I’ve never been served frozen meatballs at a nice Italian restaurant before.

Our server was very dry. He did not introduce himself, ask if we had been in before or even smiled all night. The only thing he asked was are you ready to order. Appetizers were ok and desert was fantastic. Entrees way over priced for what you get and lacking any true flavor. Our waiter asked how our food was tasting and we were honest about the Marsala and Alfredo not being a good pairing. No follow up visit was made by a manager. I asked for Marsala sauce to toss my pasta in and never got it. 180 bucks for dinner for my wife’s birthday and it was a waste of money. Poor service, mediocre food and a cramp atmosphere. We will not be returning.

Been wanting to visit this place for a while now and the wife and I chose it for our recent date night. And we were not disappointed! The food was fantastic and exceeded our expectations! We had the baby lamb chops appetizer, the caprese salad and for the main courses, the flat iron gorgonzola steak and ossobuco veal shank with risotto. Paired with the Malbec it made for a superb date night! Our waitress Karim was awesome! She prepared our bananas foster dessert right at the table and is was delicious! Highly recommend! We will be back for sure! Only negative I can share is it was a little dark at our table. We saw some tables had lamps and wished we had asked for one. This place is a hidden gem tucked back in the corner of the plaza!
