A couple of days ago we ordered pizza from Mezzaluna. We got a Cheese Pizza and a Barbecue Chicken pizza. Both were really good — nice, thin crust. As for the Barbecue Chicken, I’d say it’s my favorite after Hawaiian. It was honestly really tasty. Not overloaded with BBQ sauce like a lot of places do — everything felt perfectly balanced. We’ll definitely be ordering pizza from them again.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area from Asheville and we have been looking for a great pizza spot for awhile. Looks like we finally found it! Service was fantastic- we felt right at home, plus the Sicilian style pizza we had was amazing! We will be coming back asap!!

B: the pizza was very fresh, I noticed a different taste from dough than any other I have ever had and I was throughly impressed. I highly recommend the monthly specials! The establishment is a family owned place that added such a charm!

The pizza and pasta were genuinely good, which made the service issues even more disappointing.
After being seated, we were not offered water, while tables that arrived after us were served water promptly. We only received water after asking.
We were polite, quiet diners, and our child was calm and well-behaved throughout the meal. Despite this, our server never once checked in with us — no “everything okay?” or “do you need anything?” — even though we clearly observed her doing so with other tables.
When we noticed our utensils were dirty and asked for replacements, they were taken away and returned without a single word or apology. Communication overall felt cold and dismissive.
Notably, the only person who asked if everything was okay was someone from the kitchen when bringing out the pizza — not our server.
The most uncomfortable moment was being brought the payment POS machine while our child was still actively eating and before we had asked for the check . This made us feel rushed and unwelcome.
Good food alone isn’t enough to make up for inconsistent and inattentive service. The noticeable difference in how our table was treated compared to others took away from what could have been a pleasant meal.

This was my second time coming here and it has been amazing each time. This place is one of the few places I will tell people about to go get pizza from. I’m originally from New Jersey and I lived in New York as well. This is some of the closest pizza that you will get that is like the pizza in the northeast. Crunchy bottom, dough is cooked perfectly and the everything else tastes great. I got myself a sausage slice and then a slice with chicken and bacon. Absolutely delicious. I also did get an entree to go, which was the baked manicotti. I will say it wasn’t the best, it was mediocre honestly. It also didn’t really remind me of how manicotti is supposed to look like and taste was fine. And the side salad that it comes with is a very basic salad. My girlfriend got the penne rustica, which I tried and it was incredible, the sauce was amazing, the sausage crumbles had a great taste. Would definitely recommend that dish. Lastly I ordered a piece of the cheesecake. It was one of the better cheesecakes that I’ve had and it’s on the bigger size. As I normally do with this place, I definitely recommend coming here if you’re craving good pizza.

We unexpectedly had to stop at Mezza Luna after car troubles! We waited for a tow truck & walked to this restaurant. The owners were AMAZING! We chatted about life, food, the even gave my daughters food advice about treating others right! The food reminded me of the amazing pizza AUTHENTIC pizza I had in New York! We felt we were in Italy! The owners were born there, and they make traditional, delicious, perfectly cooked, freshest ingredients thin crust pizza. We had the margarita pizza and it was absolutely perfect! We got a meat pizza – Vic’s loaded pie to go. We will be back, even though we live 45 minutes away. It’s clearly a very popular restaurant, as the words a constant flow of people picking up to go orders. On Tuesday at 5:30/6:00 p.m. almost all the tables were full.
