Top 5 restaurants to try on the French side. This is an ocean side authentic Italian style restaurant with island touch. You must try this rigatoni foie gras pasta. It was the perfect combination of flavors. The carbonara and the tagliatelle verratti come in second. The truffle ravioli was a good appetizer. Desserts were delicious can’t go wrong with the brownie and tiramisu.

Usually, when we try a restaurant a second time, we are disappointed. They never seem to be as good on the second visit. Not so with Mezza Luna. We had dinner here three times, and all the times the food and the experience were fantastic.
From the street the place looks like a real dive. But when you walk past the kitchen and down a hall, it opens up into a beautifully arranged dining area on the beach.
The servers are all very friendly and helpful. Cocktail selections and the wine list are good. And the food is outstanding. The little kitchen you walked past on the way in puts out a very nice selection of meat, poultry, seafood and vegetarian dishes that are Italian-themed but crafted with French precision and sensibility.
On an island renowned for fine cuisine (well, the French side anyway), Mezza Luna stands out as one of the best.

The service was impeccable — Greg and the entire team were so attentive, friendly, and warm throughout the evening.
I’m a truffle lover and always order truffle dishes wherever I go. I can honestly say I had the best truffle pasta and pizza of my life here.

When you first drive up to the place it looks like a dump. I mean it’s really tu down looking with an old wooden deck in front with some beat up picnic tables. Then you have to walk down a hall past the kitchen and, boom, you enter a beautiful outdoor patio dining area facing the sea. It’s lovely

We grabbed a table right on the bay at Masa Luna SXM, and honestly, it was one of those nights you just want to bottle up and keep forever. The Caribbean breeze, the sound of the water, and that view — absolutely unbeatable.
We started with the Bruschetta Inferno, and let me tell you — it’s the perfect mix of fresh and fiery. Crunchy bread, sweet tomatoes, a little basil, and then that subtle heat that sneaks up on you in the best way. It’s addictive.
The Salade d’Endives was the perfect contrast — crisp, fresh, and light, with just the right tang to make every bite pop. Between the two, our taste buds were doing a happy dance.
And the staff? Incredible. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. They made us feel like old friends instead of customers, which made the whole evening even better.

Great atmosphere but less than great food. Not authentic Italian at all. Prices are way more than they should be. Pretty location on the beach, but that is all it has going for it. there are better places on the island to get food.
