First experience with a fantastic first impression—will definitely be coming back for more and recommend you see for yourself!
Food is fine dining, high quality and delicious, perfectly portioned with recommendations to get a few shareable plates. I enjoyed the guacamole & salsa, enchiladas suizas, tacos de pescado, and cheesecake dessert and will be back for all of it (and looking forward to trying other dishes).
Reservation for 2 was made beforehand and we were promptly greeted and seated. Service was great! Everyone was kind and our server did an amazing job with explaining the brand new menu rolled out that very day. She even boxed our food for us, which was a step above!
Atmosphere is super cozy and I loved that we didn’t feel rushed. The cocktail and dry January drink selections should not be overlooked.

It wasn’t super busy on a Thursday night. Everything went really well for our group of 3. We shared the guacamole and salsa which I thought was a good size for the 3 of us to share. The salsa wasn’t that spicy, has a little heat at the end as someone who doesn’t do spicy. The guacamole was delicious. I had the pork tacos. They were flavorful and tender. Perfect to me! My friend loved her fish tacos. All the cocktails were great. The waitress was attentive and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and clean.

WOW!!! Every dish was incredible. My favorite was the HAMACHI TIRADITO, the fish was so tender, the sauce added so much flavor. We also got the ENCHILADAS SUIZAS and the BARBACOA DE BORREGO. I was even sipping the juice in the barbacoa, everything was just so flavorful. I got a spicy marg, my usual complaint is that spicy margs arent spicy enough but this one was perfect. For my second drink I got the blood orange spicy margs which I also loved. My husband got the cocktail Assesina, he loved it so much he got 2! I cant wait to go back and take my friends!

First time here we tried several things on the menu. The Guacamole and salsa app was great, pretty large and fresh. As another app we had the Hamachi which was great, good amount and fresh with savory spices. For entree we had both fish and meat tacos. The pork was our favorite but fish was ok too, but neither impressed. We also tried both desserts and this did disappoint. One was a chocolatey mousse and the other a plantain mousse but both big servings in oversized bowls. The aspiration is clearly upscale modern Mexican and the ambiance certainly matches that. But the food and service were not up to par.

Loved Mezcla! For drinks, we ordered two cocktails, the casa amor and another whose name we can’t find in the online menu, but both had mescal and were delicious. For food, we had the enchiladas suizas, tacos de pescado, and tacos de cochinita, ending with the plantain pudding. The fish taco was my favorite because of the texture balance between the crunch of the corn-fried fish and the creaminess of the avocado and poblano mayo. The pork taco was also delicious, but it didn’t have the same interesting texture. That being said, I would order everything again, it was just that good. Our waitress was also phenomenal and really knew the menu. Can’t wait to go back!

super cozy, beautiful space, perfect new spot for italian village. perfect for a casual dinner, a nice date night, or even just a quick bite at the bar. amazing cocktail menu full of inventive, creative drinks that all pair beautifully with the food. amazing attention to detail and flavors with everything on this menu, my personal favs are the guac and salsa (served with tostadas!!), the fish tacos that come in 3 and are fresh and light, the hamachi which is a raw fish dish basically a crudo that is so tender and delicious.
the thing that really makes this place so special is the staff. been here quite a few times and they are all such lovely people and good at giving recommendations and you can tell each of them really like it there and care for your experience.
overall – great food, great drinks, great people, great vibes. a must try in columbus.

What stands out the most of Mezcla is the staff they have curated. You can tell the manager runs a tight ship yet allows for a cohesive, glowing environment with seamless hands offs from kitchen to table. Speaking of the table, their food is contemporary Mexican – Pueblo style with traditional components. Last thing I’ll say is the vibe they’ve managed to bring to Italian village is definitely refreshing to see in Columbus, a legitimately classy joint with tasteful decorum from the tiles to the seating to the light fixtures. It is an ambience that effortlessly achieves a very welcoming, cozy environment.

The atmosphere is so chic, without feeling pretentious. Moody colors, live plants, the marble bar- all felt elevated, yet cozy.
Their cocktails were elevated, with a huge selection of spirits. We enjoyed the paw paw margarita & mexpresso and got them quickly -especially for how busy they were!
Our group took the server’s advice to order a bunch and share among friends- so we got to try almost everything and were not disappointed! The scallops, lamb, tacos, duck, pork, & guacamole were all delicious! The plates and pairings were elevated and beautiful- I especially liked the lamb with pistachio mole.
Our server was attentive and helpful, food was fantastic, pricing was just right, and we will definitely be back!
