MEZCALITO was born in early 2015, when founders saw the need for a restaurant for all. Something that would meet in the middle where we could serve food and drinks for all pallets and socio-economic groups, because all deserve to have a unique experience they cannot have elsewhere- nice music, beautiful scenery, good food, and great drinks. Just moved to the area and we are always on the hunt for good Mexican food and this place did NOT disappoint. The vibe is great, the food and drinks are great and the service from our server Jennifer was excellent! She gave us great recommendations because there is A LOT to see on the menu. We started with Flautas Ahogadas (Birria Flautas)…delicious. We ordered the Enchiladas Mezcalito and the Ceviche Primavera (a little sweet, a little heat )for the main course. Both were excellent.

First time dining here! Food, drinks, ambiance, service, and prices were all above my expectations! Caesar was our server, he was very kind, knowledgeable, & attentive. We will definitely be back 🙂 so happy to welcome this restaurant to town!

I was quite hopeful for this place, as it’s close to home, and I’d heard great things about the one in Clayton.
While the server was excellent, the food and atmosphere weren’t great.
As other reviews mention the place is very loud. With all the glass and concrete ceilings there is nothing to deaden the sound. This could be helped with some changes in decore.
The food was a mixed bag. We had the ceviche, which was good, and my wife had some baha tacos, which she said were ok, but my fajitaas, in the attached image after I had eaten about 1/3rd of them, were quite mediocre. They weren’t all that hot and the peppers were hardly cooked. The portion was quite small as well, but about 50% larger than the photo as I didn’t think to take a picture at first
All and all, it was just ok. There are better options locally.

The fajitas and margaritas are amazing! The guacamole is super fresh. My husband who doesn’t like Mexican food actually asks to go here. The steaks are super tender and our server Catherine was very attentive and got us everything we needed very quickly. The food comes out very fast too

Delicious Mexican food. The lunch menu is a great option. Their side of beans and plantains are delicious. This time I had the chimichanga. Their chicken tortilla soup is delicious. They offer a variety of fancy drinks. Next time I’ll try them. I can’t wait for warmer weather to sit out on the outdoor patio.

Stopped by Mezcalito Rolesville for lunch and it was a great choice. The place has a fun, chill vibe and the service was friendly and quick — perfect for a midday break. The food came out fresh and flavorful, and the portions were solid for lunch.
Everything tasted well-seasoned and didn’t feel rushed or thrown together like some lunch spots. Prices were reasonable too. Definitely a good go-to if you’re in Rolesville and craving Mexican food for lunch. I’ll be back.

Absolutely loved our experience at Mezcalito in Rolesville! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant, welcoming, and perfectly set the tone for an amazing night. The food was outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented and the drinks were next level, perfectly crafted and delicious.
What truly made the experience unforgettable was Angel, our server. Angel was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made us feel taken care of without ever being overbearing. Every recommendation was spot-on, timing was perfect, and the service was warm and professional throughout.
