We have been to Mezcalita 4 or 5 times this year already. We’ve only been for lunch thus far but do plan to stop in for dinner sometime.
Mezcalita is a small, cozy, family run establishment. The owner, Roberto, is warm and shows great pride in his establishment. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. The prices and portions are fantastic.
The food … absolutely delicious. Sometimes we’re drawn here for the incredible fresh in-house made chips and salsa alone. The tacos are so good with lots of variety and perfect garnish, the kind that adds to what you’re eating (not just there to fill out the plate). I really enjoy the corn too.
Sunday is all-day happy hour. It’s the best deal around!
Can’t wait to get back.

It’s a nice new Mexican restaurant. The chips were fresh and the salsa was alright. The guac was good. I enjoyed the enchiladas rancheras with chicken, my husband enjoyed the same enchiladas with beef and the carne asada tacos. My suegro enjoyed the chile relleno. As a Mexican, I can be a hard critic for Mexican food and one of the things that makes Mexican food more authentic is using queso fresco or queso cotija versus melted cheese and Mezcalita does which makes me want to come back and try other dishes. Also, it was great customer service!

Great food and good service. We’ve been here twice. The first time was a weeknight and it was fairly empty. The second time was a Saturday night and it was busy. Went here last night for the first time and if I could give more stars I would! Our server was so friendly and helpful. He made perfect recommendations for a cocktail and food. The quality of both was incredible. I had the birria quesadilla and tamarindo mezcalita cocktail. My daughter had the loaded burrito and mango margarita. The waiter sold me on the fried ice cream which was perfect! They will be playing football on Sundays at the bar area! Looks like we found a new favorite close to home!

My husband and I went on a lunch date here. We came shortly after they opened and were the first in. No wait. Prompt and friendly service. The employee was helpful with my questions. We ended up unable to decide, so we got the loaded beef burrito, a beef chimichanga, and the birria quesadilla. They were all delicious and flavorful but nothing was too spicy- and I’m not a fan of spicy… I love flavor, which I think is easily overwhelmed with too much spice. We will be back for sure.

Growing up in NM, it has been hard for me to find really good Mexican food…. this was our first time at Mezcalita and it did not disappoint… In this town that says a lot.
I wanted good Mexican food that was a little different and I got exactly what I wanted. The chips were warm and the salsa just spice enough and very fresh. Best chicken tortilla soup I’ve ever had. Light but filling and full of flavor. I was excited to try the mole and finally found a mole I like. I can’t wait to go back to try other dishes. My husband loves his enchilada meal and the rice and beans were both delicious. This is Mexican food a little more elevated.
Javier was very nice and made the evening even more enjoyable. I’ll be asking for him again as we are definately going back soon.

I love this place!! Food is excellent. We had the Crispy Relleno, the guacamole, and the creamy chicken enchiladas. All were phenomenal. The guac had pomegranate seeds on it. So fresh and unique.
Very friendly staff—it feels like a family joint. The atmosphere and vibes are on point too. Right before we left they started playing the song “Tequila” and came around and offering a little pour of tequila. My husband actually said yes and I was shook—he was truly having a great time there! We will absolutely be back to try more things and next time… MARGARITAS
By the way our server Javi—very helpful, fun, and made sure we were never thirsty or lacking chips.
