Think of this as the ultimate mezcal bar that also has great, local food. The menu has more pages dedicated to mezcal than anything else, that says a lot.
While a full bar is available, I stuck with the first mezcal cocktail listed. Tasty jamaica infused with something spicy, it was delicious.
Food was beautifully presented and very tasty, obviously professionally trained cooks in the back. Service was attentive but not intrusive.
Great location, good prices, this hits every checkbox for me.

I came here two years ago and had an amazing experience with the owner Liz. Her warmth and passion for mezcal stayed with me, and I’ve been wanting to come back ever since. This trip, her husband Andrés was here, and he completely exceeded every expectation I had. I don’t think I’ve ever received service like this anywhere. His knowledge of mezcal, the way he explained everything, and the care he put into our experience was unreal.
The food was incredible, and you can feel the love and pride they put into every single thing they serve. They were so accommodating and genuinely welcoming, unlike anything I’ve experienced before. They made our time in this town unforgettable.

The food is very tasty & carefully prepared & presented, but we really went for the mezcal collection. Their artisanal cocktails & aguas frescas are superb, and our bartender was incredibly informed about the collection of agave spirits. It is also possible to buy a bottle of mezcal here, which is great because you can discuss variations with the staff / buy a shot & taste before purchasing.

DISHONESTY! I would have give no star. It’s fine that staff doesn’t speak much English and has no interaction with customers. Other restaurants I have been to let the customer finish pressing the payment but he did not, but CHANGING my tips option form 0 tips to 10% when turning the machine around to face him after inserting my card into the machine. Once the payment went through he didn’t offer me a receipt, I asked for it he gave me the receipt. Didn’t think much of it and trusting the waiter. But when I got back to the hotel and sort out my daily receipt, I found out that he charge me 10% when I clearly remembered I have pressed 0.
I asked my brother who was there with me did he remember I press 0 tip and he confirmed that I didn’t give any tip. WATCH OUT for the SCAM! Make sure the machine is facing you and you have completed the payment before staff turn it away from you.

David and Jose were amazing and offered explanations for all.the amazing types of Mezcal they offer. From the differnt agave plants to the flavour notes etc. They made this a great experience for my wife and I. Highly recommend.

Absolute must try! We had originally wanted to find a good margarita place and stumbled upon this gem. They will certainly make a margarita but specialize in mezcal. Every cocktail is a work of art. Fantastic wait staff, excellent food, warm and upscale atmosphere without the pretense.

Had a great evening at the Mezcaleria! Stumbled across it by chance, turned out to be a really excellent place. Fantastic food, great cocktails and Andreas and his team provided a really excellent service. Look forward to going back next time we’re in Puebla!

Despite the nice ambient and wonderful varieties of Mezcals on offer, the DISHONESTY of the one staff who was serving us overshadowed the whole experience in this venue.
When finalizing and paying the bill with card, we clearly selected the NO TIP option. However, upon re-checking the receipt the next day, surprisingly a tip amount of 10% was being put on the bill and charged without our knowledge! Such a DISHONEST staff behaviour is enough to avoid supporting this business!!! This is beyond BAD SERVICE. -5 stars!

Great bar with incredible food. Andres is a great host, infectiously passionate about mezcal. Go, get the quesabirria and a recommendation of mezcal (although the tamarind cocktail is sensational)
