Finally checked out the new Mezcal Bar & Grill in the old Beltran’s location, and it was a solid win. We walked in pretty late, which usually makes me nervous about service, but the crew was awesome—super welcoming and we didn’t feel rushed for a second. The remodel looks great, too; really nice vibe inside.
Daniella was our server and she was wonderful. For drinks, I grabbed a Michelada that was spicy and savory (perfectly made), and my wife loved the ‘La Tradicional’ margarita—you could actually taste fresh lime and good tequila, not just sugar.
Dinner didn’t disappoint either. I had the Poblano Chicken, which had this amazing creamy roasted pepper sauce with a nice kick. My wife got the Birria Tacos—super crispy shells and the consommé was rich and flavorful. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in Broomfield!

Everything here is just so perfect! Every detail. Margarita – simply perfect, strong, not overly sweet, fresh lime juice. Tortillas – perfect, fluffy but enough structure to hold a fajita well. Tortillas soup – piping hot, rich broth, no skimping on the chicken, avocado, etc. the list goes on! Highly recommend! My favorite of MANY Mexican restaurants between living in both CO and AZ.

I’ll start with a positive the service was great very friendly, the atmosphere is also great, now the food isn’t horrible, and the prices are reasonable and average. But it is not authentic and the other thing I could not get past is it’s definitely not fresh we ordered our food and within 3 min all of our food was out. That tells me everything is in a warmer in back, the chicken was extremely dry, I would not recommend the food, I will say the drinks looked good.

Food is great! Service is amazing! Had the margarita flight and got me so happy with the explosion of flavors, then we had the empanadas which was a great surprise plus the Baja fish taco and the grilled shrimp. Naiomi is an amazing waitress and definetly coming back.

I’m only giving 5 stars because I know the importance for reviews for new businesses and because the food really did deserve 5 stars. We shared the fajitas and loved them.
However, the drinks have me debating on whether I’ll ever come back. We order oaxacan old fashions and what came out didn’t resemble or even remotely taste like one. They were pink lemonades MAYBE with a little alcohol for $15. We were regulars at Beltrans before this place bought them out and we miss the old bartenders. This one clearly has no idea what a oaxacan old fashioned even is. I mean honestly LOOK at this…

The food is so overpriced for what you get. $12 for chips and guac, and $6 for three tiny little salsas. Lost most of the guac picking out large unmashed chunks of completely brown avocado. By the time I removed the gross bits and mixed it together it was still anemic looking from there being so much brown in it. It absolutely wasn’t fresh and looked like it had been made days before. I’ve tried this place a few times, but not worth the money for the quality.

Mezcal Bar & Grill #1 is so good! The service was incredible, our server was so nice. The food came out hot and fresh. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted authentic. The buisness partner and the owner were both there and they came to introduce themselves. I will for sure be back. I will definitely recommend this to everyone!

Blown away this restaurant currently has a 4.7 rating. Restaurant cuts corners to maximize profit. They charge for chips and salsa, their $14 Piña Colada was 1/3 ice, 1/3 whipped cream, and the actual drink was not freshly made, but a mix. The food was meh. The $2 salsa was meh–it actually had a hint of sweet? The table-made guac was flavorful, but overloaded with jalapenos to the point it dominated the dish. The server did, however, bring another upon our second complaint. My friend’s flautas were soggy and and just slightly warm. The only positive for my party of three was that the waitress was kind and ultimately attentive.

We were a bit surprised that this Mexican restaurant charged for their chips & salsa. I ordered the Mexican table guacamole as my dinner and it was too spicy. It was overloaded with jalapenos. However, after letting the waitress know a couple of times that it was too hot for me to eat she brought me another one with less jalapenos. It was really good.

We are a large family made up three generations. We were able to get a reservation for 10 on a Friday night, which was awesome. The drinks were amazing. We ordered beer, margs and mezcal drinks. Everyone was happy with their drinks. The food was truly delicious. Their fajitas come in a molcajete and are fantastic! They also came through with lots of healthy options as well as vegetarian meals for those in our party who don’t eat meat. Authentic Mexican flavors sold us on the food. Best of all though was the service. They were very attentive and helpful. We came away happy and full. Panza llena, corazón contento.
