If I could give 0 stars I would soley based on service and discriminatory behavior!
We went for super bowl Feb 2026.
1- The waitress got our drinks wrong from the start. My partner (is dark skin and does not understand spanish) ordered a moscow mule (pointed to it and said it) and got a fruity drink in a glass and the waitress told him “sometimes it comes like that”. When he told her he didn’t want it she rolled her eyes and muttering curse words in spanish. Meanwhile the other half of our table (who do speak spanish are not of dark skin) had the exact same issue with their drinks and was responded to without her excessive attitude (cursing, deep breaths and eye rolls).
2- My 11 year old son (who is afro-latino) ordered coke and later asked her for another glass and she told him “no refills”. He tapped me and said “mom she said no refills”. So I had to tell to just bring another can of coke! I mean, seriously!
3- We then ordered food. That was fine. My son and partner got burgers and fries to keep it simple. I ordered my food not too long afterwards. The waitress came to collect extra glasses off the table and my partner informed her he didn’t want their 2nd drink attempt of the moscow mule and to please take the drink back in normal way “hey, the drink doesn’t taste like a moscow, I don’t want it.”
However, as she took his second drink she rolled her eyes AGAIN and shook her head talking under her breath like she was disgusted! So I called over another woman from the bar to request another waitress for us 3 blacks of the table as the other half of the table clearly NOT getting the same mal treatment. Then I decided to just cancel my food order because at this point, I didn’t want spit in my food and I voiced that to the other waitress as well as my disgust.
She called over 2 men who worked there to our table (neither of them were the owner who was there sitting at the bar with a baseball cap on).
My spanish speaking friend explained my frustration to them as well as me being able to understand her as he told them the waitress’ nasty attitude and gestures towards my partner.
They offered us free food then proceeded to cover her and say “she is just very stressed”, as if that is an excuse. She was nasty with us the moment we got there and the entire place was empty except the 5 people sitting at the bar.
Seeking free food was not why we went to the restaurant, and I was actually insulted.
Never the less, I gathered my son, and my partner from the group from what was supposed to be a fun super bowl celebration with friends , went to the bar and paid for my alcoholic beverage, the 2 cokes , and the 2 burgers and fries and immediately left. The lady who took my payment at the bar apologized and 1 of the men who came to our table shook his head , however I’m sure it was because I understood what was happening and they were embarrassed of the waitress’ behavior. You don’t need to speak spanish to understand blatant racism and rudeness!
It was quite disgusting racist behavior and we definitely will take our money else where, as other latin places gladly accept us and appreciate our business with them !

Came here because of the Gram!!!! The internet ain’t nothing but lies!!!! Lies I tell you!!!! First of all, the service charge on my bill was bull. They should really put that on their menu that there will be a service charge. The food was just ok. Plantains were cooked too hard for my liking. The Mahi Mahi dish was ok. The margaritas had no liquor in it what so ever. Was just orange juice. Steak was ok. The atmosphere was ok. I definitely will not be going back.

The atmosphere is laid back and chill. But the secret is the food!! Fresh, flavorful and sinfully delicious. It’s tucked back, but very spacious and beautiful. You need to come out and try everything on the menu, you will not be disappointed.

Yeny was amazing!! She had wonderful suggestions and made some amazing drinks. We ordered jugo de mora, mojitos, and palomas and they were all so good. The steak and seafood options are amazing and we loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Thank you Yeny!!

Great music. The Service in other words not to great me and my husband went in for dinner and some drinks and to have a great date the first drink I ordered I had a second thought and ended up ordering another type of drink was very disappointed because I got the first drink I had ordered first and not what I ended up asking for. The food in other hand fajitas mixtas were ok both the beans are chilli and the rice was good I also ordered a queso fundido and the queso wasn’t fundido it was caned nacho cheese not what the image was showing so I kindly told the server that I ordered the queso showed in the image and not nacho cheese some how that offended her and after she ended up taking it off the table and the check which was very much appreciated and I thank her because that queso was tasted but still in the plate I only tried it once and left it. Before leaving we wanted a couple more drinks but after I told her she started ignoring us when we wanted to order drinks. Very bad service was received! I will not go in to eat and to drink again. This review is to share my experience only.

I wanted to stop for some carne asada tacos somewhere along the way to my destination. I ended up finding this hole-in-the-wall spot that has incredible flavors in every dish. I didn’t want the chaos of Woodlawn, so I decided to see what other places can be found besides the historical Azteca restaurant. Well, just a turn away is this place. The guacamole has a beautiful depth of flavor. Brightness yet richness with all-round goodness. Oh I fell in love, especially for those steak salsa! I loved the bright-green salsa with them. The meat was marinated for a perfect minute. I got there desert of pina colada and custard cake. It was LIT (it caught flames before my mouth got ahold of it). I’ll be coming back here for my tacos and tequila.
