I grabbed some lunch in the afternoon here. It was a quiet atmosphere. The food was really really tasty and a good size portion for one person. I got the mango chicken curry and samosa.

I’m not a review writing person, but this was the best food I’ve had in a long time! We got the goat tikka masala, lamb curry, and onion chilli naan. Everything was phenomenal!! Will be coming back here next time we’re in Portland.

They had awesome Chole bature. Request them to make it crispy. Also note that the menu lists this item for cheaper than what it actually costs. Its big enough to serve 2 people though.

Though the outwardly looks of the restaurant are just about okayish, the food was extremely good and the serves were adequately sized and represented value for money.

Being a family run and operated business it has its limitations with service, but that’s easily overlooked because of the food.

The restaurant has a rustic and dated appeal.

Wow!!! My partner and I came here for Valentine’s day, and it was really busy. Even with how busy it was, the woman helping us was very sweet and made sure we were taken care of throughout our meal. The food was amazing, and it seems that their staff works really well together to get things out in a timely manner. We will absolutely be back when we are in Portland!

Atmosphere needs a face life but the food is authentic genuine and not bad of a price for presentation, flavor, and authenticity. I’m from Chicago and it’s been rough to find other Indian spots out here that know how to flavor it up! They did it. Oh, and they were generous with the protein. Not heavy rice and heavy chicken. More chicken but a heavy balance which I really appreciated.

New Owners. New Menu. Fabulous tastes. Without ANY doubt way way way better than the last owners. New owners seem “new” to the game but extremely polite, the service seems reserved, minimal, almost like a French resaturant. The food is fabulous but not Michelin. The interior is big, open and needs more “comfort” or just the heating swithching on. Evenings are super quiet and cold. fair bar selection. Don’t get the red wine by the glass – I suspect it sat for a while in the fridge as not many people get wine at an indian meal.

I cannot recommend this place enough – not the best, but my goodness me, yummy. Get the Chicken Vindaloo done mild. Yum.

My new regular place.

Check out Curry Naan Indian Cusine next to Luc Lac. Very very good flavours. Even worse seating / atmosphere.

We were looking for dinner late-ish on a Friday night (about 7:30/8) that was walkable from our hotel and could accommodate gluten-free (celiac) and ended up here and are so glad we did! The flavors were excellent! We ordered palak paneer and my kids tried the mango curry. The spices (not heat) and flavors were among the best we’ve had, and we eat out at Indian restaurants often. Even the mango lassi had a depth of spice and flavor to it that we haven’t experienced anywhere else!

Atmosphere wise, we were surprised to find we had the place to ourselves for most of our visit (on a Friday night!). It place was quiet with background music softly playing, and we could converse easily. We had great attention from the staff, and we were checked on just often enough: the service was excellent. Food and drinks came out quickly, and everything was hot and fresh.

Highly recommend and we will be back next time we’re in Portland!

Yummy food! With extra choices that I’ve not seen before at your average Indian restaurants! The Vindaloo was bright and so yummy! Aloo tikki chat so good. Great presentation – all hammered stainless dishware.
