*Old post* Amazing breakfast options and low prices.
I will be returning for lunch and dinner soon.
We went with a party of 6 to Meyer’s while visiting my Aunt in Milwaukee. She recommended Meyers to us, and I am so glad that she did!
Atmosphere: We found immediate parking. The building was nice, clean and airy. Our seating was comfortable and the table was large, which I enjoy versus cramped spaces where all dishes, silverware and drinks have no place to be. It wasn’t noisy and we were able to easily converse while we enjoyed our meals. 5/5
Service: Our service at Meyer’s was phenomenal! Our server, Jay, was so much fun, informative and I could tell genuinely cared about our dining. He made excellent recommendations (3 of us went with the Thai Chicken Soup and we all loved it), as well as menu questions. He rocks! 5/5
Food: I ordered the Shrimp, Scallop and vegetable pasta. Others at the table ordered meatloaf, turkey dinner, a hamburger and fries and the Pork Steak. We all highly enjoyed our meals; I for one was very pleased with how much shrimp and scallops were in my pasta and how well they were cooked (perfect scallops and shrimp, generous fresh portions of vegetables). We also got the cheese curds for an appetizer, and those were perfectly done as well. You could go here so many times and try something new; the menu is HUGE! 5/5
Price: The price for the portions you get and the quality of food is tough to match. I rate this a high 5/5 stars.
It is hard to find a restaurant with this family style flair, large menu, generous portions and great prices. I highly recommend Meyer’s for dinner!
Their Friday Fish Fry Specials had over 12 types of fish to choose from it was fantastic! From baked cod to bluegill to flounder to shrimps! The variety ensures there’s something for everyone, whether you prefer the crispy, golden texture of fried fish or the lighter, healthier option of baked fish.
A generous amount of rye bread and butter accompanied the potato salad, coleslaw and vegetables as our sides.
The food was good. The fish was cooked well. Fries were crispy. The tartar sauce had a different flavor to it and I did not like it. The batter on the fried fish was crispy and delicious. The amounts of the sides were generous as well.
They had festive decorations displayed and our waiter could not have been more attentive. Establishment looked clean and kept up for how old it is. I did notice the average age of the customer as being 50+ on a Friday evening. Just noticing. There was a decent crowd, but no wait.
We shared a couple of big pretzels that were amazing.
Next up was some wonderful chicken kluski soup. Delicious .
The waitress was exceptional … friendly, efficient, and one of the better servers I’ve encountered. You can tell she’d been working here for a while.
This is a banquet hall, and I remember coming here for my father-in-law’s father’s funeral…so it can serve a large group if necessary.
On this day, however, I enjoyed some polish sausage and coke slaw. Mom had the steak sandwich , which by the looks of it made me a bit envious. Next time. I loved my lunch, but I definitely want to have some of that steak sandwich myself.
Outstanding stop for lunch at reasonable prices with a friendly and semi -elegant atmosphere with Milwaukee written all over it. Ahhh…the Cream City! Go Bucks!!!
