We are Open! We are excited to announce the opening of our 2nd location as Meyer’s Olde Dutch comes to Poughkeepsie. MOD is a fun and casual, modern interpretation of the classic burger joint with a full-service bar. In addition to beef burgers, the menu offers lamb, chicken and vegan options with multiple toppings and house-made signature sauce. MOD is the place to grab a modern interpretation of the classic burger, a damn good fried chicken sandwich and the best fries around. We are dedicated to serving food that is handmade and locally sourced. We start with local beef and cheese and make all our burger patties, daily, and in house. Our sauces are prepared right here as well, and we continually reinvent the daily special.

I’ve been wanting to come her for awhile and was finally able to. As much as I was tempted to have a beef burger, I decided to order their veggie burger, and I’m glad I did. It was hearty while also more creamy than crunchy (which I prefer). Some people may think it’s mushy but it worked for me, and the flavor was wonderfully savory. The sweet potatoes wedges were not what I expected at all. They were crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. These were definitely wedges and not fries. I couldn’t even finish them because it was such a generous portion. The interior was fine but because of the set up, it felt strangely cold not cozy. No matter…I was there for the food and it was good!

My family would drive all the way to Beacon for these burgers. This new location is spacious and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and attentive, answering all our questions. The food was amazing – some of the best burgers we’ve had. The char on them, plus the seasoning and toppings is unbelievable. I personally love their pickled onions while the rest of my party loved the pickles and pickled jalapenos. The fries were a generous portion and were the perfect thickness. We can’t wait to come back, and plan on making this our go-to burger place in Poughkeepsie.

On weekends I have had some good food here. I have liked the wings and the fries seem cut on site, normally HOT TO GO.
The vibe of most Beacon businesses is ‘going out of business minimalism’. This place painted the walls and has a bench seat but its not cozy or fun to be in. The best feature is the outdoor seating, kind of like a cave with ally access which is nice.
Recently they were out of wings and the burgers were cooked twice, fries where warm and chili was like BBQ Sause. The staff seemed sad and tired and I felt guilty being there. The food on slow nights should not be worse than other nights but this is a Beacon NY thing we have got to get over together.
Their other business BEACON QUALITY EATS is better by far.

Two build your own burger was good with white onions.
French fries were good.
I did not enjoy the butternut squash soup.
I did not enjoy the coleslaw.

Burgers are great here. Atmosphere is nice. Parking is plentiful.
There double dutch is awesome. Fries are best around. Definitely stop by if your nearby.

I really wanted to like this place, but the food is just too inconsistent. Some days the burgers are juicy and cooked perfectly, other days they come out dry and tough, almost like biting into a jerky patty. It’s frustrating not knowing what kind of meal you’re going to get.
The idea behind the menu is good, and the ingredients seem decent, but the execution just isn’t reliable. For the price, you’d expect a more consistent experience. Unfortunately, it’s not a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a solid meal every time. Overall, kind of a letdown.

They take celiac/being gluten free very seriously! They have gluten free buns, dedicated fryer for fries, and make a note on the gluten-free order to say if it is either celiac or a gluten free preference. The attention to detail was so appreciated and the employees are so friendly. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

Now Meyers Olde Dutch is around the corner facing Vassar College and the sign says MOD. Lots of parking now. The food was delicious. Prices not bad. I ordered on their website for pickup. The only improvement is that I didn’t get sauces on the side as clearly stated on the ticket. Napkins with my takeout bag would have been nice. Highly recommend and will be returning for sure. Nice menu and staff. Enjoy!
