The food was good but lacked spicing (maybe they thought we don’t like spices). Wonderful and helpful staff. Very nice market. The meat Chicharróns are outstanding. Their chips are excellent.
Very fascinating factory in back. I was given a brief tour of the factory while proceeding to the wash room. The washroom was the cleanest washroom I have ever experienced outside our home!!!!
Parking is a little challenging. If you park on the street, the cars are zipping by very fast and you have to watch out to not open up your car door and be hit by a car.

Great and delicious food, and friendly service. The atmosphere of being in Mexico with groceries and dry goods for sale, and good selection of beer is cold in the refrigerated display! This all makes for a great dining and shopping experience! Highly recommend this neighborhood deli. It has been in the Newark community for years.

I’ve been a customer for more than 25 years and food portions have decreased. I don’t mind the high prices that comes with inflation. Quality still good. Fish tacos always been one of my favorites but when you charge $6.50 for a taco that looks like a mini taco I think I’m going to have to look for a new Mexican food place

We were staying in Newark due to the the recent power outages in Northern California. This Mexican restaurant recommended to us by a friend. Really more of a deli/take-out place within a Mexican market. We placed a take-out order to bring back to our hotel apartment. The food was delicious and plentiful. The tamales and chili relleno, in particular, were excellent. They do close early, at 6 p.m., when the market closes.

It’s a small Mexican grocery store with a taqueria, or is it a taqueria with a small grocery store? Either way, the taqueria stands out compared to the grocery store. The food at the taqueria is fresh, tasty and at a pretty good value.

Definitely a local favorite in the Newark/ Fremont area. Known for wonderful tomales that sell out quickly in the day. Terrific food menu and salsa bar.
