The Best Tacos in Hoboken (and NJ!)
These are, by far, the best tacos we have tried in New Jersey; I can confidently say they are the best in all of Hoboken.
I have to start by saying we were surprised by how well prepared the tacos are. The ingredients taste incredibly fresh, the marinated meat is spectacular, and the tortillas are full of flavor—simply delicious! Each taco has its own unique signature, and every one of them is a hit.
The space is quite large, basically designed like the taquerías you find in many Mexican cities, where it’s common to eat standing up at high tables or counters to hold your plates and drinks. This makes the whole experience feel incredibly authentic.
This spot has everything it needs to become my new Hoboken favorite. In addition to the delicious food, the staff is very friendly, and they keep the whole space clean and organized.
We will definitely be coming back regularly for these extraordinary tacos. The only thing I would appreciate is if they had a restroom for customers. I understand the concept of street tacos you might eat in Mexico, but a little adaptation for comfort wouldn’t hurt.

This place got off to a shaky start with some iffy branding decisions, but the food speaks for itself pretty well. The adobada tacos I got were well-executed, with the seared edges that make them so good. Comparable in quality to the original across the river (which I got yesterday so i could make a good comparison). The salsas, kept on ice, are a bonus, and the friendly staff are attentive and may offer extras or suggestions. It’s a bit loud inside, and prices are on the higher side, typical for the neighborhood. Notably, they seem responsive to feedback and the workers are trying to win folks over. Pretty satisfied with my visit, will be returning.

I got to Tijuana many times, trust me that this is a legit place to get authentic tacos. Roberto, the owner is from Mexico, and all the workers speaks Spanish. If you’re going to Taco Bell or another taco shop in this area, you’re doing yourself a disservice. 10/10 tacos, felt like I was over the border.

Best tacos in Hoboken, if they can keep the quality up (since they just opened). Super fresh al pastor, and the corn tortillas are made to order.
4 stars because this place is a money grab… Copied Los Tacos #1, don’t double up the corn tortillas as they should, and it’s $5.50+ for ONE taco. I’ll probably come back but won’t be a regular due to the price.

One of the best chicken tacos in Hoboken! I love spots like this because it’s super convenient for a quick food grab & something about the outside standing tables always gives that new york city vibe. I got 2 tacos al pastor and 1 carne asada all with everything on it and it was fire. A tiny bit pricy but nothing too much. The Al pastor had great flavor to it! They also had great customer service!! And the workers are super nice and it’s really clean too! Also the corn tortillas are hand made!!

I finally tried this place and it really disappointed. All tacos are assembled with the meat precooked and as a result they taste really bad worse than average even in NJ. The nopal tacos tasted so off that I couldn’t even finish them. All of this for the privilege of paying $5-$6 per taco. You are better off going to JC, Union city, or NY if you want decent tacos, unfortunately Hoboken is still lacking in a quality spot.

I ordered two carne asada tacos on corn tortillas and a horchata.
I tried one in my car and it was so juicy and flavorful—I had to go back and get more for my partner!
Everything was super fresh, and the staff? Absolutely wonderful 🙂
