Simply the best Mexican food I’ve had since I left Texas!
This is a great restaurant with great food! We had the Street Tacos and the Steak Fajitas and both were really good and the portions were very generous. We had to take a out half of it home in a to go box! We washed our meal down with their Cadillac Margaritas, which were also excellent.
The atmosphere was colorful and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and attentive.
We’ll be back!

The staff was quick and very friendly, the booth was comfortable and the restaurant aesthetically pleasing.
That being said, the food was not good. The chips, salsa, burrito all were very meh. The chicken in the burrito was rubbery… like the chicken that’s injected with saline for mass. Enchilada sauce on top of the burrito, also meh. Guacamole somehow was mostly just a piece of avocado.
The pinto beans in the burrito were good.
Overall I wouldn’t come back here.

I came in with my wife to this restaurant, greeted by a lady in a devil costume. There was three other tables of guests before us. Now I’ve been a waitress and worked in kitchens my whole life. The service we got from this woman was trash. She literally checked on the already eating tables 3-4x before we even got our drinks. Our drinks came out with our food that took 20 minutes. And my food was cold cause she was eating sitting at the bar before grabbing our food. We asked for more chips cause we usually get more without asking when going to this restaurant but today this devil lady said we had to pay for them even though in the past we never had to pay, but today we could get a little more cause we were “patient” so she even acknowledged that we were waiting super long before getting our food and drinks. We will not be coming back here ever again. Happy Halloween I hope you enjoyed your dollar tip I gave cause of not wanting to totally stiff you though I thought about it. Also all the sudden even though there is not to much traffic there ran out of horchata supposedly. I don’t believe her cause like I said we literally got checked on twice after, 15 minutes of being ignored to take our order, then another 20 to get our food as she stuffed her face, and then we almost finished our food to ask how we liked it. And the another 10 to get the check. Also our silverware was dirty.
We joked about walking out the experience was such trash.
Bottom line don’t come here

It took 30 minutes to get food for 2 people to the table. I was about to walk out. Atmosphere was dark and quiet. Music was playing but you could still hear the staff and management talking about the their concerns.
There was hardly any customer service.
Will never go there again.

I love this place, in large part due to the amazing staff. Sadly I didn’t get their names, but one woman seemed to be made of magic as she handled the late lunch crowd and bar generally by herself. As noted, it was a late lunch, so it wasn’t too busy but it was getting busy as it was turning into happy hour/early dinner time. Any way, she was super helpful, kind, and attentive and never seemed to be too busy or overwhelmed. Then another young lady came in and also helped. So clearly I’m first and foremost impressed and appreciative of the staff. Next they bring salsa and chips. Loved the tomatillo salsa. I ordered nachos. The guac on the nachos was pretty great. I also ordered fried ice cream and she gave me both chocolate and strawberry sauce on it. The strawberry sauce was best! (get that) Overall a good dining experience turned great because of the staff.

I had their asada tacos on Saturday night after night drinking at steel creek and they were fire fire They had 2 Mexican dudes outside street taco style, so I went back 2 days later cuz I couldn’t get them off my mind and I was severely disappointed with the tacos inside. NOT the same, not even sure why and hella expensive it was $4 a taco + 1.50 for asada. The guy outside didn’t charge extra for asada they where just $4 straight up. Salsas were different too, no pico, idk what’s going on with this bait and switch operation. Definitely wasn’t the beer munchies or price that made them taste better outside. Nice restaurant though but I prob wouldn’t go back to eat inside.

As soon as you walk in, that old place smell hits you right away. But they have done a good job at decorating the place. Service was slow but good.
I had called ahead to ensure they have vegan options and was assured you can customize most stuff vegan. Asked the server to get vegan dishes (Chimichanga and Enchiladas) and they seemed to not know what vegan is. I explained that there should be no meat or dairy and off they went. I asked proactively again, that the beans shouldn’t have any lard, and they came back and said that refried beans do have lard. So they replaced it with whole beans.
Meal was brought out and the rice on our plate tasted funny. I asked if it was cooked in chicken broth, and it sure was. So vegans, beware to not order rice or refried beans, I found out the hard way.
Plenty of other Mexican food options, so I’ll pass on this restaurant for next time.

The staff are friendly and focused.
The salsa verde and Roja are lovely!
I wanted to like this very much but the burrito the owner recommended had old dried chicken in it, and it was not very tasty
I hope this survives in this cutthroat market of businesses

This was a good restaurant the food was good the prices were average. There chips and salsa was good but could have been warmer. With the chips they brought out 2 different kind of salsas which was cool. The staff made sure we had everything we needed. The overall experience was good. I recomend you at least try this place it’s in a perfect spot in down town Tacoma.

I repeated not once, but twice! That’s how good the food is. If I would’ve stayed any longer on this trip, I would’ve just kept coming back
The first thing they do before you even order is bringing you a basket of homemade tortillas with delicious salsas and a glass of water.
The staff was super friendly. The tacos and fajitas were just delicious and they come with delicious rice and beans on the side.
Highly recommended option for lunch or dinner.
