The first time in this restaurant, we got a quesadilla. It was so good we came back a couple hours later to get ice cream, chocolate covered frozen banana, burrito and another quesadilla!

Absolutely love this place! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell it’s a locally owned spot because everything feels homemade and made with care. The salsa is incredible — just the right amount of spice to give it a kick without being overpowering, and it makes every dish even better. Friendly service, great portions, and authentic flavor. And did I mention they have the best Mexican ice cream too? Definitely one of my favorite local Mexican restaurants!

Living in Waukee there isn’t many options for authentic Mexican snacks/food. Currently 5 months pregnant and have been craving a mangonada for the longest! Happen to be out running around and passed by this amazing place. Customer service was very friendly and inviting. The place is clean. Even better the food is exactly what I was needing. Stopped here after getting some work done on vehicle. The owner and her daughter were so friendly and suggested menu items and let me sample their flavored teas. I ordered a torta and hibiscus tea and both were wonderful. This is a great little spot if you are in the area. The service was above and beyond and I will be back.

This place has hands down the best tacos and tortas I’ve ever had. The flavors are super authentic — you can tell everything is fresh and made with love. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, and the torta was packed with flavor, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I’ve been to a lot of Mexican spots, but this one truly stands out. They have the best choripollo burritos. Food is made fresh every time. Their aguas are super good. You also have to try their cookies and cream ice cream. I’ve never tasted ice cream like it. It is so rich and truly the best ice cream I’ve tried!!! You should definitely visit this restaurant for yourself!!

The best Mexican food I have had in the Des Moines Metro area! The mangonadas are so good, the aguas frescas so refreshing, and ohhhh my the torta cubana was sooo good and filling. I was only able to eat half! 100% would recommend coming here.
