House specialties: Birria tacos, traditional sizzling fajitas, giant quesadillas, and craft margaritas. All our dishes are prepared daily with fresh ingredients. Try this Mexican restaurant! Mexicana recently opened in Newton, and it’s become one of our go-to spots. They have a number of weekly specials, but the main appeal is their menu – with a great variety of both the “classic” Mexican restaurant staples (burritos, enchiladas, etc.), as well as a bunch of twists and variations on the classics. Our go-to has been the combination of an El Diablo margarita, with Carnitas tacos (see image)! If you haven’t already, the Birria Tacos are also a favorite!

The Laredo burrito here is very good—flavorful, filling, and perfectly prepared. It’s the kind of dish you’ll want to come back for. The non-alcoholic sangria was also excellent: refreshing, well balanced, and a great option if you’re skipping alcohol.

Absolutely loved this place! The Oaxaca Colada cocktail was outstanding—smooth, tropical, and perfectly balanced. The tortilla-crusted salmon was excellent, cooked just right with great flavor and texture. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the decor is beautiful, fun, and full of personality. A great spot for both a relaxed dinner or a night out.

I went to try this new restaurant last week for Taco Tuesday, and I have to say that I was very pleased with what I got. I tried all the different tacos, and the carnitas were my favorite. I like the Taco Tuesday special because it gives me the chance to try different flavors.
If you like spicy, you got to try the Diablo margarita, it was on fire and delicious.
I really liked the atmosphere. It’s a chill, very family friendly, a place and perfect for a relaxing dinner with friends after work.
I’m glad we have an affordable place in the area that doesn’t break your bank, with good food that isn’t uptight like most of the others around here.
