This is such a refreshing change from your basic bland, Sonoran Mexican food. This lovely restaurant offers the best in Southern Mexican cuisine with plenty of fish and shellfish offerings. I had the ceviche and an order of empanadas. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. I will be back soon. Please support local Flagstaff business. Thank you!

I never leave a bad review and I mean that, I do my best to see the positives of every place I go but this was just to much. the service was awful, I felt unwelcome the whole time I was there. The waiter didn’t bring us our napkins or silverware until after we had our food. Didn’t refill our drinks and didn’t ask about it. They got our order wrong and no wonder because she didn’t write down our order. I just can find much good to say. The decor was beautiful and the food was alright (although it was not accurate to what we ordered and parts of the meal were included that were not on the menu ie. mayo and jalapeños on the torta ) on top of all of this the food is outrageously priced for the amount you get, eveything was over 15 dollars.

I LOVE the warm salsa that is brought out with your chips!!!!! It is SO GOOD. The rice and beans are good as well. I wish they more options with meat choices and could serve alcohol but other than that, great restaurant!! It is in an awful location right now with construction and hope that they can last

The salsa was the absolute star of the table—bold, fiery, and the only thing with real flavor. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was a letdown.
As a true Jarocho, the name is a total mismatch. The menu doesn’t represent actual cocina Veracruzana, and no amount of cute clay mugs or plates can hide the lack of authenticity. It’s a nice “look,” but the kitchen needs to find its soul. Great salsa, but for a real taste of the Port, look elsewhere.

The food is easily the best Mexican food in Flagstaff! We got the birria taco plate and 3 taco plate, both with carne asada. The tortillas, meat, beans, and guacamole were perfect! We also got the deep fried ice cream which was great! The atmosphere was a little lacking because there was no music, but they just opened a month ago so it wasn’t that big of a deal. Highly recommend you go and try out the tacos! The chips and salsa were also great! The salsa had the perfect amount of spice.

Poblano sauce was broken because they stretched it with cream. The drinks are expensive and they’re under pouring. No music, we were the only table there, and there’s a hidden 15% gratuity fee for tables over 5 people that they don’t tell you about unless you ask for a receipt. Highly recommend checking out one of the many better options for Mexican food in flagstaff!!

I have never left a review on a business before, but after my experience today I felt very inclined. My fiance and I arrived at 11:30 am. When we entered no one said anything to us even after I smiled and said “hello”. We were just shown to a table without a single word. There were only two men working at this time and they both made us feel extremely unwelcomed as if they were annoyed that we had came to their restaurant. Anything we ordered they “couldn’t make till after 12:00pm”. There was nothing on the menu to indicate that certain menu items could only be ordered after designated times. This restaurant opens at 8:00 a.m. and as I previously stated, we arrived at 11:30 a.m. by the time our order was being taken it was around 11:45am (we were the only costumers there), so I am not understanding where the issue came from and why they did not want to serve us. By this point my fiance and I grew tired of feeling disrespected and decided to just pay for the iced tea that we had received and leave the restaurant. They charged us for a single iced tea. It came out to $4.

Looking for a good Mexican food restaurant in Flagstaff? This is it. We stopped by last night. And we were not disappointed. The food, service and attention is truly great. The food was so well made , it was a delight to find great Mexican food done right . Make sure you get their delicious aguas frescas too.

Came here with my girlfriend because it had 4.7 stars on Google. We walked in and I noticed they only had one waitress and one cook. We had to wait a little bit to be seated, but once we were, we were taken care of promptly. As we walked in, I noticed there were a couple of tables that hadn’t been bussed, so cleanliness was a bit of an issue. We ordered our food and it came pretty promptly, but my girlfriend noticed the cook was using the microwave to heat our food. See my picture and follow the arrow. My food was good but my girlfriend’s was pretty bland. As we walked out, I took a look into the kitchen and saw a bunch of pots and pans on the stove that looked like they hadn’t been taken care of in a while. Maybe use that stove to heat the food, not a microwave.

Brand new and delicious. We perfect for a satisfying lunch on our way to the Grand Canyon. We drove up from Phoenix and before we headed west we stopped here. It’s not frills authentic and amazing. Generous portions as well.
